I recommend anybody to try this exciting campaign. Despite some things I found wrong with it, the author had great potential to fix them and make excellent work!
PLAYABILTY
The main playability focus was stealth, which in theory can be fun. Two straight levels of walking and not being allowed to attack without penalty can be a little tedious. The third level is when the action makes it's comeback, when you fight through the massive armies to protect the base. Perhaps you should add a bit more excitement to the first two levels. Also, taking control of the Battle Droids and tanks was a fun FF portion to add to the campaign.
BALANCE
The problem I found with this is that it was either too hard or too easy. In level one, when you enter the bunker, it's almost like a game of chance if you survive or not. Reacting as fast as possible, I still left the battle with nearly no health left. In level two, I had advanced very far into the level and when I met up with the captain of a certain room, he had rediculous attack power and killed me in seconds. In level three, your two heros had overwhelming attack and health, which made it hard for them to ever die. A little work and the balance should be excellent.
CREATIVITY
I found some very creative aspects to the campaign. Staying out of the shuttle's sensor range was a nice touch and added a little realism. Having the laser turrets fire at invisible targets made the illusion of them firing at Tann's ship, which was a nice addition. Having light side and dark side endings was a nice touch as well. What I graded you down for was that the name Chorcus 'C'Both (Not exactly sure what it is)was stolen from the Heir to the Empire Novel. Perhaps you should have included a small story as to how Sev'Rance was alive, since it continues from the CC Campaign.
MAP DESIGN
The best feature of the campaign in my opinion. Krant was nicely done with just the right amount of eye-candy. Level two was very good, being an indoor level. Level three had an excellent base design and the outdoor theme was well supported. Very eye-catching mini-maps, which made your map design even better. Great Job!
STORY / INSTRUCTIONS
I personally didn't like the story you created for the campaign. Like mentioned before, Sev'Rance is dead and there was nothing mentioning how she came back to life. When she is about to call Dooku father contradicted the Star Wars Universe. The third level is when the story became very far'fetched. Having the Viceroy die, Plo Koon on the dark side, and having your own little story about Anakin again contradicts the SW Universe. I suppose Echuu on the dark side was okay since he isn't a real Star Wars character. Despite the storyline itself, it was still told well to the players and most of the instructions were clear, except once in level three.
Despite the things you should work on, a job well done! |
