-=-=-=-=-=-A Commando's Tale
-Hornet Company
Notes :
- This scenario has more scenes than action,
- It can be completed in a short amount of time if done correctly.
-How to install-
Place the .CP1 file in the directory - Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds/Game/Campaign
Previous to the SWGB file may be different for every person.
-Feedback-
Any personal feedback or suggestions should be sent to Bluejamathons@yahoo.com. Thanks!
-Updates-
Updates have been added to fix bugs where you could go outside of the map, and one where the annoying scout in the corner doesn’t have to exist.
-Other Things-
Trigger Count : 61
Was completed in a little over half a week, so not long.
I will make some more scenarios, although with tons more effort, and on bigger maps.
I am a relatively novice scenario maker, so best to not expect the best.

As nice as it seems, if you're going to make just a scenario, and yes I have done it too, guilty as charged, it is better to put them in the Scenario section of the downloads than in the campaigns section.
A scenario is a edited map made with custom victory conditions set by triggers for a certain type of gameplay for multiple players.
A Campaign, on the other hand, is a number of scenarios string together to make a campaign for telling a story, I believe. |

I was glad too see this site is not dead.
I didn't know what more could I write before the rating part.
Playability: 3
I found it interesting. But it lasts only few minutes(if you play in the right way). If it had continued longer, I may have given 4.
Balance: 3
Note: I didn't write much about the gameplay to keep the potential downloaders interested.
At the end a group of rebels finds you. With those strike mechs they've got you would stand only a ghost of a chance against them. However, it doesn't take much skill just to take your officers(who must survive) and make them run away.
Creativity: 2.5
This isn't just a move-and-kill scenario with little talking. There is a concret purpose. Also some nicely renamed unit and a scene at the end too.
Map design: 2
The map was the poorest element of the scenario.
There are few hills painted around and some mountains, cliffs and rocks added on places. Everything covered with snow.
Story/Instructions: 4
The objectives and tips were clear and story- nice.
Additional comment:
To author, I see you have made improvements compared to 'Stranded'. Hope you will keep getting better.
To players: Whatever you do, don't head East :)

Thank you Captain Keno, for the advice. I actually thought about single player scenarios vs. campaigns, but that was only after I posted it to the website :P But I'm not one to disobey orders (especially ones from a captain {and no I'm not in the military, made myself think that I could be with the last statement :P})
And thank you to Darth Kiro, for the review. If you or somebody else could give me tips on how to improve my map designs (especially barren wastelands like Hoth) that would be very much appreciated. And yes, compared to 'Stranded', this scenario is much better.
And about going east... it just might be worth it! |
