Playability: (3) This campaign was semi-enjoyable to play, however short. However, the poor grammar and use of 'Display Instructions' really brought the quality down, for example: Proper Grammar wasn't used, it was a kind of internet slang in many places. Also, the character's name who was speaking at the time was not displayed either, which confused me several times as i needed to guess who was talking.
Balance: (2) The main character, Captain Barnes was more than capable of killing every enemy on the map, and through out the scenario i received no major damage. This area needs work.
Creativity: (3) The campaign faired average in this category, nothing special. The ideas used and map design were pretty rare sights in scenarios nowadays though.
Map Design: (3) Again, this category only scored average, simply because you cannot place blocks of Doird Control Programs and other gadgets with a few buildings in there too and call it a good map. The design gradually got better as i progressed though, making use of walls and asteroid hubs to create a decent looking interior. This section needs work, with some terrain mixing and more creativity with the buildings and other items seen in the shipyards a 4 would be awarded.
Story/Instructions: (3) I thought the intoduction scene was great, it was good to see the 2 men randomly talking at the start, and mede the player feel like its a real situation with small details like that. It was also good to see the squad get seperated and killed. But the overall score of this category is brought down by the lack of real grammar, it was more of an internet slang, and as i said earlier, when someone is talking, its a good idea to put their name with what they're saying following that name. There was also a swearword, which was unnesessary. It would have been nice to see more detail in the history sections and maybe even intelligence and recon being it was based on a squad of commandos. I also found the plot a little bizarre, with systems committing suicide to resist the New Republic.
Overall, many things could be done to improve the quality of this campaign, in some areas those things are big, but in other areas little details like adding the person's name who is talking to the Display Instructions effect can make all the difference. |

This is given a average rating of 3 because simply there is no replay value and for some reason I got killed while enering/exiting certean buildings (Bug or intentinal?)
Playability 3: After the cutscene all you do is place explosives on aa turrets and then leave. You kill about 6 bebsin guards I wish there was a place where you had to figure out a way to exit the building where a aa turret is.
Balance 3: You can easily kill every single bebsin guard but the only reason it isn't 1 is because sometimes there is an explosive trigger and you die (Bug or intentinal?)
Creativity 3: The cutscene was cool but the rest stunk. Go around touching aa turrets and find a boat. I couldn't find the right boat for about ten minutes and there isn't a decent ending (Maybe you're boat gets chased?)
Map design 2: The map is poor with alot of droid control programs all over the place. There is not much more than metal and water.
Story/Instructions 2: The only idea I got was that I was bombing aa turrets for who knows why. The history just says that people are oposing the republic (duh) and you have to kill them. Could be better.
Overall: I wouldn't play this twice. The ending is corney the story lacks and the replay value is little to none. |
