I like using Darth Maul on this one. Once you defeat the majority of Jar Jar's militia and the other malitia, you are able to get Darth Maul. Bring him and the medics over to your forces. Keep the Medics back far away from the action and group your forces to your liking also away from the action (but closer than the medics.) I use Maul as a "Rambo" type character. Let him do most of the confrontation with the Gungan Grand Army. Also let him do most of the killing and only use your armies as support. Use Maul to lure out a few Gungans at a time. When his health gets low, go back to your medics while your armies take care of the few Gungans that were lured out. Then regroup your forces and line them up again while Maul is healing. Repeat this process over and over until you have accomplished your goal. This strategy works on easy, moderate, and hard settings. When I first started playing the game, I initially thought this was the hardest scenario of any campaign (even on easy.) I used to get so frustrated and felt like throwing my monitor through the wall. But once you beat it, it becomes easier and easier each time and now I think it is a snap even on hard setting. Just don't be in a hurry to finish this scenario. If you get in a hurry, you will become careless by luring out to many gungans at once and will either get Maul killed or your forces will get annihilated to quickly. Just remember that if you use this strategy, Maul is your main weapon and your forces are the support.
I think it is fun when you can isolate a fambaa unit one-on-one with Maul and let him take it down. Also, if you can isolate a few gungans that Maul can convert, by all means do it. In each small group of gungans, convert one and kill the others. Send the converted unit back to get healed and then put it with the rest of your forces. You can build quite a substantial army of converted gungans by doing this. Once you cross the swamp with Maul, you can lure some gungans to the left corner and convert/kill them. There is hardly no room for them to maneuver between the water and trees. You can trap a lot of them here. Finally, when you are able to get to the area where the Monument is, you are almost finished. If you were conservative in saving the majority of your forces (converted ones also) bring them to the area and wipe out any stragglers and destroy the monument. If you don't have much of an army left, just use Maul to take care of the rest by using the same stategy used earlier.
