Battle of Naboo

Author File Description
Cloudwing
File Details
Clone Campaigns required?: No
Style: Fixed Force
This is an "epic" recreation of the battle between the Gungans and the TF in Episode 1. You control the TF by default, but you can play as the Gungans if you play as player 2. This is pretty balanced, I can win playing either side. Oh, there's 600 or 700 units per side, so have fun =).

This is one of my first scenarios. I appreciate comments, suggestions, etc. so send them to schmitzn@msoe.edu.

Battle of Naboo is a large Fixed-Forced battle based on the ending scenes of Episode I. You control a massive Trade Federation army and must wipe out the defending Gungan forces. There's not a while lot to this, really. The Gungans attack you immediately after the scenario begins, and you don't really have to lift a finger early on. Your forces do a decent job of fighting off the attack, and there's a good chance the Gungans will lose the majority of their forces in the first waves. The rest of the scenario is just sweeping up what's left of the enemy.
==========

Balance: 3
You don't really need to manage your units in this. They are more than capable of dealing with the Gungan attacks on their own, and you'll probably only lose about a sixth of your army during the initial battle.
==========

Creativity: 2
Not a whole lot to this one. This battle is one of the easiest ones to do in GB, since it's really nothing more than slapping down tons of Federation and Gungan units to have them fight. This one fails to be really interesting outside of the novelty of watching huge armies blow eachother up - something that anybody could whip up in a couple minutes using the Editor.
==========

Map Design: 2
Like the film scene, the map is a large slab of Grass 1. There are hills and scattered plant/ruins props, and even a small river and swamp, but it doesn't make the map very fun to look at.
==========

Story/Instructions: 1
Aside from a couple of 1 sentence briefings, there is no story at all. Even if we know what happens in the films, it'd be nice to have that information present in the game.
==========

Additional Comments:
Not a very engaging scenario, but if you like watching big armies smash each other, and don't care to put such a map together yourself, this might be alright for you.
