Mos Eisley & Outskirts

Author File Description
File Details
Clone Campaigns required?: No
Style: Build and Destroy
This is a random map style scenario based in Mos Eisley and the Outskirts. Players battle for control of Mos Eisley.
What you need for this: Tatooine objects mod
Bwing and landed falcon mod
Immobile Gold AI
Mod Installer
This game can only be played 4 player every man for himself
The fifth team is the mos eisley locals they need to be set as immobile gold ai they are only for show.
If you do not install the tatooine objects mod and the other mods this map will not contain everything I placed on it.
The Mos Eisley locals are always computer controlled and are everyones allies you can trade with them because they have a spaceport.
No one can allie up in this game other than the Mos Eisley Locals who are already set as your allies so dont set them as allies either. Allying up will reck the teams. This can be played as a multiplayer or single player scenario.
Have fun.

Map Design2.0
Playability: 3
This is a Build & Destroy scenario following a typical random map set up. Four players battle in a desert-like environment. Each player starts with 800 of every resource, so you can very quickly get off the ground and start building an army.

One of the map's quirks is a ludicrously large amount of Banthas, but not many other resource deposits. The only way to stay afloat in a prolonged game is to capture as many of the dozens of Bantha as possible (I needed eight animal nurseries to hold all of mine), and sell off the excess food for your other resources.

Balance: 2
For the most part it's naturally balanced like a normal random map game. However, there is one major issue. A squad of GAIA Hvy Troopers and Mounted Troopers is placed on the map. If a player knows where they are from the beginning, or is lucky enough to stumble across them, they can use those units to completely sabotage a player before they can even get started.

Creativity: 2
A skirmish map that takes place in an urban-like area is rare, due to the game not having any such maps by default. It sounds like a neat idea, but Mos Eisley itself in this scenario is just a tiny hub of walls, buildings, and random units in the center of map. Aside from having a permanent trading partner in the form of the AI-controlled Spaceport, there isn't much to this scenario.

Map Design: 2
The map doesn't look very much like a desert. There are scattered Tatooine props and Tusken Raiders/Jawas, but the base terrain of the map is Yellow Plains instead of any of the sand options. The terrain is almost completely flat apart from some tiny lumps of elevation, and Mos Eisley is just a small square of Tatooine props bordered by walls. Not a very good scenario to look at.

Story/Instructions: 2
There is very basic information about the map, but nothing of substance, and several menus are left completely blank.

Additional Comments:
Not the worst B&D scenario, but the simple design, and rather significant balance concern means you're better off just playing a random map.
