Striker is an RPG scenario set on what appears to be Naboo. You control Striker, and try to find a way off of the planet. It isn't very good.
To begin, you play as a Trooper Recruit through the whole scenario. Which means he moves extremely slowly and can't see very far ahead of himself. Thankfully the scenario is very linear, so there's little chance of getting lost.
The dialog texts are ludicrously quick, and even playing on the 'slow' speed setting barely gives you time to read the longer ones. You'll have to either pause the game, or bring up the chat menu to actually see what's going.
Perhaps the biggest issue is that several of the triggers in the scenario are broken, and crash the game upon activation, meaning I had to edit the scenario myself just to be able to finish it. They're very easy problems to spot, which raises the question of whether the author ever actually tested this scenario before putting it up.
As mentioned above, you play as a Trooper Recruit. Even though he has heavily increased hitpoints and attack, his armor is still non-existent, and so much as looking at him wrong will empty his life very quickly.
The first enemies you fight are a squad of stormtroopers, and a Dark Trooper. Your maximum range is below the Dark Trooper's minimum range, meaning it is impossible to actually attack him as he keeps running backwards. The only way to deal with him is to garrison into a nearby turret and VERY slowly chip away at his health. Provided you don't lose too much health to him, the rest of the scenario is fairly easy.
It tries to be an RPG, but the frustratingly slow pace and jumbled, confusing story make it hard to be entertained.
Map Design: 3
Probably the best part of this, most of the map is Grass 1 with no elevation, but there are many plants and trees covering it, making it look at least somewhat natural. The two Naboo villages you visit are also decent to look at.
All of the briefing menus are empty, and while there is dialog, it plays extremely fast and is full of spelling/grammatical errors, making it very difficult to follow.
Not a particularly fun, interesting, or functional scenario. Best to pass on this one.
