It was fun, short but fun, I'm not sure what you had to do down the locked door, because I just walked past it, blew the thing up and flew out, avoiding massed Air Turret fire as I did so. It was a nice challenge though, with alot of enemies.
I was nearish to death at the end, so you could die, but only if you didn't fight tacticaly(I converted a DT and slew 5 Troopers before he was taken out.If need be you could take a break and regenerate, converting is also useful for once.
Nothing awe inspiring, but the shuttles and the X-wings escape were good fun things. Using Gate posts as walls was a nice touch too, as was setting the imperial base on a volcanic world, most people just use grass land/forests
Not a hugely attractive base, but it wasn't too bad.
The gate posts made it look like a sort of bleak base, just the sort of thing you'd get on a lava world, the terrain visible outside the base was very nice also.
Very good Story, Instructions were a little Vague, but it was all in all a good level. The story was the sort of thing Luke would have done during his time with the rebellion early on, and after ROTJ as well.
Lets just say, if you want a short and fun level to pass sometime, notch this up to a 5 as thats what I think it's real purpose is. But if your looking to sit back and have a long game which requires you to use your brain alot, then this onl gets a 3. I was hoping there was a 2nd level at least, but I was disappointed.
I have played it once, and I never got killed. It was however, not a walkover to win, so I think the balance was quite good. It is however quite easy to win if you take over the enemy units, then some of the fire is concentrated on them, so it takes a bit of pressure off you on staying alive.
Seen as this was a very simple level I wasn't expecting too much creativity, if you want that then play on FFF or LITBC. Like I said, this level is great for a quick level to play on, the bit at the end is a nice touch though, it's a great shame it was a one level campaign.
It was ok I suppose, nothing ground breaking. I suppose it was good for what it was meant to be, personally I have never seen a plant portrayed excellently, usually because facilities are hard as their is very little eye candy for them. Though I suppose it could have had a little more added to it.
My impatience to play it inadvertly caused me to skip the instructions. However, from what I could see they story was that Luke was sent to blow something up in an Imperial Plant. If you actually read the instructions then maybe they are very instructive, so you'll have to use that score as what I played and read, which was very little reading, and I guess I kind of rushed the level.
I really hoped that the designer could have made a longer campaign, one level doesn't really portay the possibilites with it. Presuming my suspition that this campaign was his first it was very good, I reckon you should download it, and my advice to him is to continue the smpaign and make it longer.
