Escape the Death Star

Author File Description
Obi_Wan
File Details
Clone Campaigns required?: No
Style: Role Playing Strategy
This scenario is about when Luke and the others shall flee from the Death Star. Its no triggers and Ben Kenobi dies when you start. That's cuz Darth Vader dont dont want to fight him. He just slashes in the air or something! Its a very simple mission and very easy but i did it when ive got SWGB. It shall be updated and a part of a campaign later.

There isn't a whole lot to this scenario. There's no triggers, and hardly any gameplay. You select your heroes and basically shoot things until there's nothing left to shoot.

'Winning' the scenario means either scouring the map for every enemy until they resign, or capturing a Holocron (which I assume is meant to represent the Death Star plans), storing it in a Jedi Temple, and doing nothing while the victory timer counts down.
==========

Balance: 1
More or less impossible to lose. Your 4 attack-capable heroes (Luke, Han, Leia, and Chewbacca)can effortlessly bash their way through the couple dozen stormtroopers littered throughout the map. Even if one of them does somehow get killed, there are no defeat triggers.

Although Darth Vader is placed on the map, he does not appear to attack, so you can stand there and shoot at him until he drops dead with no resistance.
==========

Creativity: 1
A very weak adaptation of the events of the film. There are much better SWGB interpretations of the Death Star scenes out there, with JamesMartigo's 'Death Star Escape' being the best.
==========

Map Design: 2
It does what it has to do, I guess. It's a flat slab of Metal 2 with a maze of Imperial Walls built into it. The auther did make an attempt to match the rounded shape of the Death Star though, so I guess that's something.
==========

Story/Instructions: 1
I'm sure just about all of us know what goes down in the film. This scenario, largely due to its lack of triggers fails to convey any semblance of plot or progression. You just shoot stormtroopers.
==========

Additional Comments:
If you're really looking for a good Episode IV-related scenario, your time would be much better spent playing 'Death Star Escape.'
