This is a campaign that tells of a tale before Gallo rose to take on Boss Rogoe. This tells about one Gungan who became general and was able to triumph over his Gungan boss's Rivals and defeated them, the day he became known as the first bombad General of Naboo.
Hey SWGBH, look I can understand this campaign sucks, but this is actually my "very" first project, so it was bound to. That and this was actually officially announced on the SWGBH forums. Remember the forum thread "Star Wars: The Legend of Garza" in scenario design? Yeah, that was my project and I really did intended to finish. After having to lose the majority of the campaign, uninstall and reinstall SWGB Saga, I am lucky I even had this at all, it was supposed to have more levels.
But after going through all that, I pretty much gave up, thinking I tried too hard and said "screw it, this'll do." It isn't much, but it was my first.
But nonetheless, I was hoping you guys don't mind reviewing it and giving it feedback on what I should improve on in my first project that was announced on the forums three years ago. |

You wrote this was your first project so the quality is not good. Well... after all you have submitted it more than an year after your first submitted single player scenario, so you must had a lot of time to improve the old idea...
Playability: 3
This is a type of scenario I call "simple B&D"; it can't offer any interesting gameplay. However, all players start in post-tech level 4, so I expected it is going to be interesting, especially when I must fight against 3 enemies. But I was disappointed - it was boring easy (see the balance paragraph).
Balance: 3
So as I wrote in the playability paragraph, it was too easy and I think I know the reason:
1) None of my enemies showed heavy resistance. I thought their population limit is MUCH lower than mine. Probably I was right, because while I was looking at the game achiеvеments, it seemed like my biggest army was 141 as the second biggest army was only 45.
2) Perhaps the other players weren't allied since two of them, who were close one to each other, were figting constantly.
The result of players with low population limit, who are enemies one to another, was the following: A single massive attack wipes out an enemy without any difficulties.
Creativity: 2
A scenario about a general from the ancient gungan wars is not a common storyline so even this deserves a creativity bonus. On the other hand, nothing interesting with gameplay ("simple B&D") or the story in depth.
Map Design: 3.5
The map was good enough for a B&D, but the reason I gave 3.5 is mainly the poor terrain mixing: the land area (there is a little water) had about 85% grass 1, maybe 14% grass 2 and 1% sand. Also a B&D should have oftenly seen stockpiles of nova and ore, but here there weren't enough of them.
Story/Instructions: 3
Some basic, but obvious advices in the instructions. About the story, a brilliant general who faces the biggest challenge in his career is good, but I wish there was written more about Garza's past. For example how did he become a general, maybe a sentence or two for his greatest battles etc.
Additional comment:
I can call this a standard game with the difference you have a hero (Garza).
To the author:
Why did you upload this since it sucks even in your opinion (in my opinion "sucking" means to be really bad, under 2 stars)?
