I'm afraid this just doesn't work. You are cast into the middle of nowhere with absolutely no instructions or idea of what to do.

In order to advance you have to step on the 8 switches to unlock gates. About a hundred times. Then you win. At first there was absolutely no indication of what the switches did; no messages or instructions. This led me to believe they served no purpose, until I found a gate that had been locked previously. It wasn't until half-way through the second level that you start seeing "Gate Unlocked" when you step on a switch, and by that point everything is in a straight line anyway.

The switches are placed randomly around the map with no pattern or reason behind it. The lack of instruction means that you have to step on a switch, and walk around clicking on every gate you find until you come across one that isn't locked anymore. It becomes extremely tedious.

Balance: 1
Your character has 1070 HP, and +60 Attack. It's nearly impossible to lose. Even AT-ST walkers could be downed in about 3 hits.

Your character moves faster, and has a longer range than anything on the map, which means you can just approach a wall, shoot one enemy, and then knock them down one by one as they bunch up by one of the dozen or so locked gates to attempt to fight back.

On the second level I encountered Darth Vader strolling around in the middle of nowhere. I somehow doubt that was supposed to happen, but either way, killing him took all of 5 shots, and the final battle only lasted about 8.

I'm not really sure what you were trying to do. What little I could gather told me it's based on the Jedi Knight games, but that's about it.

The most creative part of it all is hiding in the AT-ST to sneak past the guards, and even that doesn't seem to work right, since as soon as you exit it, all of the guards you were trying to avoid in the first place begin to attack anyway. It finally worked right the third time I tried it.

==========

Map Design: 2
It's somewhat better than your last ones, but it's still just a maze of Imperial walls with Metal 3 on the inside, and a bunch of Sand 1/Dirt 2 hills on the outside. It doesn't help that you have to constantly walk through the same areas to go through the door to the next switch to open the next door to the next switch, etc, etc.

==========

Story/Instructions: 1
Absolutely NOTHING. Completely blank objectives, intelligence, history, and recon. There is no ingame dialogue other than a sentence telling you to wait a moment once you enter the AT-ST.

If it weren't for the name of the campaign and the download description, I would have had no clue that this was based on Jedi Knight or that you were supposed to be playing as Kyle Katarn.

==========

Additional Comments:
You've got to put some more time into your work, man. Story, map design, trigger work - it all has to be able to come together, work right, and look pretty. Again, if you need help, the Scenario Design forums are always open.

Hm, I thought it was hard to win because I kept losing all my health. How did you get through without losing any? Anyway this is one of my older projects... I've been working on it so it should be okay. But I don't have a whole lot of time to work on them because my computers disc drive doesn't work so I need a no disc patch or something.

As I stated in the review, your character is faster and has a longer range than most of the enemies on the map. You can just keep walking back then shootings.

In addition, the stormtroopers can't shoot far enough to attack over the walls. If you shoot one they will all bunch up by the wall, and you can take them out individually without ever getting hit.

The gameplay was not really satisfying. Not at all even CLOSE to jedi knight. All you basically had to do was stepping on one '8' after the other to unlock the next gate killing some enemies. Repeat and repeat... same pattern overall. Oh, and the AT-ST is bugged. If you select it, it moves away. Better should wait for me to garrison (theres a condition for that)

Balance: 1
Balance? Not in this game. Player 1 got ridiculous HP and atk. Enemy got basic troops and maybe some repeaters.

Creativity: 1.5
Thinking about the puzzles and challenges the actual JK II has, this is just nothing. However, the triggers you used seemed to work. And I have seen worse scens, much worse.

Map Design: 2
The map design is far below average, still you used elevation in the starting area, and you had some cliffs and rocks.

Story/Instructions: 1
Since the instructions-screen is void, I expected a JK II style gameplay. Since there was maybe 1 or 2 display texts, you only get a 1, sorry.

Additional Comments:
I think if you made the map, you know where you placed what triggers, however you can't expect that from any other player, so you need some descriptions or map revealers.
