REVIEW OF EPIII Stuff
Ep II C-3PO => Ep III Clone Pilot
The clone pilot was kind of pointless in my eyes. I could only find one use for it, And that was in cinematics, But how often do people make cinematics of the Clone Wars. An icon was included, Which is always good. The unit didn't
included sounds, And didn't include attacking frames, Which was kind of weird, As in every game i've played Clone Pilots can attack with blaster-type weapons. Apart from this the graphics were well done, Except from the Dying frames which were very messy and out of place. Overall this unit needs quite a bit of work.
Bespin Bldg 7 => Ep III Landed Jedi Starfighter
Bespin Bldg 8 => EP III Landed ARC 170
Bespin Bldg 9 => Ep III Landed CIS Bomber
Food Storehouse => Ep III Landed Venator
The graphics didn't fit well into the game, And the angles were off. The Ideas was brilliant, But you should have used the graphics of the existing modpacks,I know for a fact each of these has been done as a modpack, It would be great to have them in landed form, I suggest in
a version 2, You do the following things;
- Add Icons for each mod
- Change the graphics to that of the existing modpacks
- Change the names of the buildings to that of the mods
- Make them smaller, So they fit with the game
- And add some Fuel rods and maybe some gray-scaled supply crates.
If you did all these things your modpack would be given a 5. And would be very useful, As the existing modpacks of these units are very well done and very popular. The modpack at the moment is kind of pointless, And doesn't fit with the game. A good example of this type of landed ship mod is Selur's Landed Corucant Speeder that can be found in the downloads section, here he used an existing unit, But added fuel pumps and modifyed diffrent things to make it look more realistic. I'd be happy to
send you some graphics of what these mods should look like if you'd like. I could also link to the existing modpacks of these units for you. But for a first modpack this is brilliant, and you show alot of skill.
Overall very good, and definitely useful. I don't agree that they were too big, considering the size of an average unit in the game. The pilot WAS rather pointless, though. The angles were a bit off, but that problem is easily solved by placing them on a slight hill. Some supply crates or such would be useful, but the ships are good as they are. I especially liked the landed Republic Cruiser.
