Playability: 3
The game play overall was nice. I liked the massive battles that you had to conduct to win, and it was fun to fight with so many units without it being a complete massacre*. However the confusing objectives that never seemed to activate when completed lost you points in this feild. I had to Skywalker almost every mission because for some reason the triggers would never activate when I did what the objectives said to do. Oh and also please don't make objective where it is like "destroy the enemy on this planet" because it is no fun to have to hunt down every last unit, and take out every single stupid building and fortress. It makes the game unfun and a waste of time.
Balance: 3
*This is another reason you lost points on playablity. Despite giving an about equal amount of forces the balance sometimes varied making it harder to play. For example on the first level almost all my forces were wiped out by the Republic army (except for the heros which couldn't fight.) Where as on the snow level the use of aircraft and such a large amount of reinforcements made it too easy.
Creativity: 3
Something new. However it seemed that you kind of copied it right from an already developed story line. I can understand that you wanted to be historical, but write the objectives and instructions with a little more excitment. (Although it was funny when you called Anankin a snob).
Map Design: 3
Hugely developed map, with almost a planetary like feeling. However the problem here was repetion of eye candy. Don't use the same gaia rock 50 million times. Use maybe three rocks and then a carbon rock and a few grey rocks. Overall add more diversity into the design and less repition of the same objects. Other than that the map was good.
Story/Instructions: 3
Like I said in the creativity section, too much history not enough challange. Instead of saying the Republic forces are stationed here it is critical that we take this planet, it will deeply hurt the Republic war effort... blah blah blah; Instead summarize it in a few sentences, like "The CIS desperatly needs this planet, completion is critical, good luck general ect.
Additional Comments:
The huge battles made this campaign fun, but the buggy triggers, and bad instructions made your score go from like a 4 to a 3. However ending on a positive note, since this is your first scenario you have ALOT of potential. Keep working and I look forward to the next big battle scenario by you. |

As far a canon:
The Rhen Var mission, according to Star Wars info, has the CIS invade with a overwhelming force in taking the planet. The challenge is holding the planet.
The big challenge is that the CIS is mostly on the defensive. One of the earliest victories I have heard for the CIS was their defense of Hypori.
Thanks for the reviews. |

The next campaign will come as soon as I finish the last mission. Like this one, it is during the Clone Wars, but it is at the end of the war from the perspective of a new party -- The Rebel Alliance. |

There is something for you to know about the rebs. They came together when Mothma tried to find a way to assassinate Palpatine. |

As Palpatine is the number 1 villian throughout the Star Wars movies, an assassination of him would not have been bad.
Where did you find this piece of information? I know Mon Mothma opposed Palpatine, but hers (and Bail and Bel Ibis) resistance came from Palpatine destroying the democracy of the Republic.
Note: The Republic and the Empire are the same political entity. |
