Hate to say it. I'm back.
Well, "battlefront commander" was the last file i submitted before disappearing, and it sucked. So i made this new version to give it more style.

First off, I'd like to say, this is in no way trying to demean you in any way.
I didn't use your template. Just because someone makes a utility, it doesn't mean everyone who makes something after it's released has used it.
Balance issues? I've tested it (and won) several times. what you said about the Assault mechs would have been easily counterable with some of your own assault mechs and some grenade troopers. I think you should put some more effort into it, restart a few times If you can't get it right. After all, I designed it to be hard. :) (also, Perhaps you needed to destroy the rocketship closest to you, spawns half of the CIS forces)
Creativity? Yeah, I know battlefront's been done a trillion times by now, But back when I made the first Battlefront commander (warning: it sucks!) there were very few.
Map design? Yeah, I've never been good at making things look pretty. you got me there.
Overall, I think you just needed to put a bit more effort into beating it. Use your grenade troopers to take out mechs and always try to push the offensive.
So please, give it some more effort, and rethink your review.
(I've played most of the 5-star scenarios and most of my old stuff was from when I had a brain the size of a pea.)[Edited on 12/19/07 @ 12:17 AM]

Sorry, I was at it for an hour... You made it really hard dude... You won so many times because you knew what was going to happen here and there...
I'll replay it tomorrow... But, the thing with the assualt mechs... I didn't even know I had them until the radio tower was destroyed... The least you could of done was point to the spot and say,
"Assault mechs will be given to you from here... If the radio tower is destroyed by the CIS, the shipment of Assault Mechs will stop"
That would help the people who just got SWGB from amazon and downloaded this... That way you can give them at least a fighting chance...
Now, for your sake, I'll retry it... But, if I was you, I'd listen to what I have to say... For, you might learn a thing or two instead of just not listening and stumbling all over the place...
Now I know what "The Crazy Person" mean't when I tried getting my way with the Earth Campaign when it sucked...
But, Heed my words Blue 5, it might come in handy someday... I still look back at what TCP said to me there... He acctualy helped me become a better designer.
Oh, and the thing with the utilite... What's the deal? So I forgot to write lol after that... I know it's easy to replicate... I just wanted an easy way for newbs who want that in there games to have something to look at for referance...[Edited on 12/19/07 @ 02:02 AM]

Thing is, I did write about the assault mechs in the instructions, AND warned you about the cannon attacks.
Hey. Your treating me like I've just bought the game. I got it in 2002. I can take a bad review, just not when I know It should be getting something a bit better than a 2.2. As you can see, I've agreed with you on the map design, Just not with the balance. I dont want a 5-star review, Heck. I'd be happy with 3.
I'm shooting myself in the foot here, I'm making myself look stubborn and arrogant. |

You never told us where the assault mechs were going to spawn... I could of won if I knew where they were...
I would advise making a Version 2 for it... Then, if I like it(Or I replay it before then), I'll give you a better review... Deal?
Edit: Ok, I've revised my review... Know that it takes me(In rare cases though) two times to give a more accurate review...[Edited on 12/19/07 @ 08:51 PM]

Ahh! I remember playing the first Battlefront commander. The first wasn't so bad! This one was a bit of a let down since the original was so much of a fresh scenario. You kinda killed it by revising it. It was fine as it was |

Introduction:
This is a well made scenario, but it is not a campaign to me; it only has one scenario.
Playability: 4
Playability was good. I liked it pretty well. A shame this is your last campaign. (Correct me if I'm wrong about this.)
Balance: 4
Balance? It was great. I held the line for quite a bit. Only thing is, if you're doing build & destroy, I want troop centers.
Creativity: 5
Yes, very creative. Give him a hand for this.
Map Design: 3
OK, but what planet am I on? Also just spice this up a bit more with elevation and we got a 4 here.
Story/Instructions: 4
You need to say where the newbies need to put the ai's and per's. Other than that, great, but no story.
Additional Comments:
This "campaign" was OK. Very good, hope to see another campaign from you.
