Falling on Tatooine
Hey Guys, I assume you remember me XD, well dont be dissapointed this continues until it is done ;) now you're able to PLAY the first level from my project, this covers the entire Tatooine matters from Ep IV in one scenario.[c]
[c=B0C4DE]This Campaign requires you to install the mod and place the sounds that Must be downloaded from the links below, as it also says in the readme file, "This Campaign will not be the same without the sounds and they also serve to notice things going on"
Sounds & Music 1
Zip File No. 1
Sounds & Music 2
Zip File No. 2
This is a little hard scenario so please dont give up, read your intelligence and instructions, it starts when R2 and 3po Crash in Tatooine and start looking for a civilized area, they got captured by jawas who sell them to the Lars' and think you know the rest until Han, Chewie, Ben, Luke & the Droids escape from the planet.
Its a very complete scenario in all aspects, loyal to the movie and with some surprises too, plus its been tested a lot for your safety :)[/c]
To obtain the mod installer in case you dont have it enter here

Well, Very Very Special Thanks to all the ones who have collaborated in anything related with this project until now, and also many thanks to the playtesters that tested (duh) this campaign before its release. (Credits for the Modders are written on the modpack's readme file)Everybody Enjoy!:)

I must admit it has been a while since I played this, but since I saw it had no valid reviews I thought it deserved one.
Playability: 4.5
Everything in the Campaign worked fine. The objectives were simple but not boring and the overall feel of this scenario was incredibly unique. This campaign was great but I couldn't complete it because part way through I uninstalled the modpack. When I went to go back and play it, the game got messed up. Also I trouble removing the modpack. I wasn't sure if this was a bug or a problem with my computer. From what I did play it was incredible however. I especially like the different features you included that really enhanced gameplay and took the scenario to another level. These included the challange points, which I thought gave a unique feature to balance.(You could choose if you wanted to do explore more to look for them and if you wanted to take risks or not based on where they were.) Also the choice in difficulty made it possible to take many different paths to continue the campaign.(Like choosing R2-D2 or C-3P0 at the start.)Lastly the name changing of sooo many of the objects and buildings was the perfect complement to an already great map.
Balance: 5
It took many tries to complete each of the stages. Among the most difficult was escaping the Jawas in the sandcrawler and avoiding the falling rock at the start with R2-D2. Despite this frusturation I think it was needed because it really made your campaign challanging and made me want to keep trying it over and over again. Like I mentioned in the above section challange points also made the balance unique and even better, a thing which most other scenarios are never able to do.
Creativity: 5
Good map design, an amazing array of modifications to make it look like a realistic enviorment, the introduction of a challange point system, and the choice you could make in what part of the story to play all made the campaign creative. Nothing lacking here. You followed the story closely but improvised when you needed to with mods and terrian to really match with the Tationee Episode IV.
Map Design: 5
Flawless. Terrian mixing, tons of eye candy, name changes, you covered it all. Nothing could be improved in this section. Even the sounds made it better like when R2 came too close to a rock you heard the falling rock sounds. And if I remember correctly you also used the correct background music at the right cut scenes. Granted some of this isn't really the actual "map" but I group it all under the overall atmosphere and feeling of the scenario.
Story/Instructions: 5
Not much to say here. You included the objectives that need to be in the scenario. You followed the dialogue of Episode IV correctly and even had some parts where you actually HEARD them speaking which was really cool.
Additional Comments:Overall this scenario deserved to be grouped as one of the greatest of all time. I am not sure if you are still working on the rest of the project Bane, but let me tell you what you have made so far is a masterpiece. Thank you for spending your time to give SWGBH such a great piece.

Playability: 4
It was a difficult campaign. It took me a few tries to even get past the first few minutes but eventually I succeeded. Perhaps try to add more instructions to the campaigns because it was difficult to use at points. A good example is the part where R2 has to run from a rancor. You have to wait for a few minutes before the farmer kills it. It would have been way easier to just decrease the rancors health points via a trigger.
Balance: 3
Difficult. There was a lack of instruction for such a detailed and intricate map. You could easily have strayed off of the invisible path neccesary to follow to complete the map and accidentally view a part of the scenario that you shouldn't have seen yet. I would reccomend more instruction and more clear direction to the objective.
Creativity: 4
Of course, there will always be a down-rating for this kind of campaign as it takes from the movie. However, the author combats this by adding in small details that weren't in the film. This makes the campaigns less repetitious and more fun.
Map Design: 5
Very well designed map. I would have reccomended clearer paths but I don't think that warrants a down-rating. well designed.
Story/Instructions: 5
Good story. Exciting and enticing. Very true to the film whilst adding certain elements not from the film.
Additional Comments: Too difficult for no good reason. Could quite simply be made easier by using more instruction and clearer paths to stop random wandering. |
