Escape From Moss Eisly

Author File Description
Evola
File Details
Clone Campaigns required?: No
Style: Fixed Force

this is basically where you have a force of rebels, and you jave to make it through Moss Eisly alive while carrying your passengers of R"-D" etc. Of course there are some major twists and turns a long the wya, and you should enjoy playing it, although it can get quite tough at times, but its a bit of a laugh. tell me what you think.

Playability: 3
This is a Fixed Force scenario based very loosely on the Tatooine scenes from A New Hope. You control Luke, Ben, R2-D2, C3PO, and a handful of rebel troopers and mechs. You have to fight through imperial resistance and reach Han Solo.

It's a very straightforward and simple scenario that manages to function alright, but isn't very fun.

During the scenario you'll end up capturing handfuls of workers and cargo hovercrafts, which are completely useless as you start with no resources, and there are no means to gather any on the map.
==========

Balance: 2
If you just march all of your troops into battle you will end up taking quite a few losses. However, by playing smart you can win the scenario using only Luke and Ben. Their ability to convert enemy troopers, lure stragglers away from large groups, and soak up large amounts of firepower can quickly whittle down the enemy forces.

The bulk of the enemy army consists of basic Troopers. As you progress you'll encounter AT-STs and AT-ATs which are largely rendered useless by exploiting their minimum range with your Jedi.
==========

Creativity: 2
The scenario takes quite a few liberties with the film. It's been a while, but I don't quite remember Obi-Wan leading a Rebel strike force, or the Empire stomping through Mos Eisley with AT-ATs.

Ignoring it's theme, it's just a romp through a bunch of Imperials that doesn't manage to be outstanding in any real way.
==========

Map Design: 2
The map is a large blank slab of Red Desert with roads of Sand 2 loading to various locations. The numerous 'towns' in the map consist of even rows of identical Tatooine buildings bordered by Light Walls. Not very pretty at all.
==========

Story/Instructions: 2
The story offers a rough recap of the events of the film, but it's poorly written and littered with numerous errors. At the very least, you objectives are simple and clear.
==========

Additional Comments:
Nothing really noteworthy about this one. There are much better GB renditions of the film's events out there.
