it's ok at the start but halfwaythorugh my game the CIS was camped around a republic spawn and it was slaughter. Also half of the republic army was staying north for some reason, i had fun otherwise :D |

Pretty good. I had one real problem: all my allies all hid in a little pocket to the north. I also had a problem with the jedi masters, but that was because they are stealth...
pretty cool, I encourage you to do more of these!!
(I made the balance 3 because i don't get what it's for! :{ |

Playability: 2
I'm sorry to say that I didn't really enjoy playing this. It is like BF2, however only to a sense there are command posts. However as the previous reviwer stated
"all my allies all hid in a little pocket to the north. I also had a problem with the jedi masters, but that was because they are stealth..."
The enemies also do not fire at you while you are traversing the map, which is a big let down and takes away the challenge the real BF2 has.
Balance: 1
As I said, the enemies don't attack unless they're already stationary. If you're playing as Darth Vader, you're virually undefeatable, but if you're a normal troop, you'll get mauled down. To be honest, I think I fought a Jedi once as a trooper, and remembered getting killed. It'd be easier if my fellow troopers actually helped with a lot of the killing, but this sort of game would be extremely difficult to accomplish in SWGB.
Creativity: 2
Objectives were simply to destroy the command posts. You ran around killing things, of course its supposed to be like a level of BF2, however I think it was rather far from it. I'd love to explain more on creativity, but aside from the aspects of gameplay (like destroying command posts to take over) it was a relatively limp scenario, and I don't think that BF scenarios will ever get higher.
Map Design: 3
It was ok. It's definitely not the best map design I have seen, but it is also definitely not the worst. I think what could be improved would be the the elevation and size of the temple. As it is, I think it is too big for a BF2 map, but that's just my opinion.
Story/Instructions: 3
There is virtually no story, so I'm disregarding that. The instructions as to what to do in the scenario were there in game, and only if you checked the objectives menu (This game is in scenario format, so any other instructions I didn't look at)
Additional Comments:
Next time, I would recommend putting the scenario in Campaign form, that way you won't have to bother with the AI and Per files. |

The whole idea about command posts and being able to respawn was great (i have battlefront 2 as well) But I didnt understand how you used your command posts to create more me and i have to say i didnt get much help at all by my "fellow troopers". ALso evry time you get a commade post, like 500 destroyers come and start shootin you. And they keep on coming. It really gets anoying after awhile to keep fighting the same droids over and over and over and they wont leave...Nice try though...

Playability: 4
Well, you did a reasonably good job in this category.
You pick what trooper you want, select a friendly command post, and spawn there.
You get to drive back the computer players and capture command posts.
Reasonably fun.
Balance: 2
Not well balanced at all.
After a certain point, you just cannot capture any more command posts, because the enemy is too thick, and the friendly troops don't advance.
Creativity: 4
You thought up a reasonably good system.
I actually learned a little from it.
The way everything works is very creative.
You've clearly played BattleFront II yourself.
Map Design: 3
This scenario takes place in a small naboo town.
Not much terrain mixing, not many gaia objects for decoration.
The whole thing is walled in with asteroid canals (And Coruscant skyscrapers? Wth?)
Still, the command posts are placed in fairly good strategic locations.
Story/Instructions: 2
Almost no storyline, and the instructions were rather confusing.
Also a lot of typos/misspellings.
Additional Comments:
The idea is good, but it needs more work.
At the start of the game, I get an AI error.
Also, several triggers are messed up. |
