Trials of a Jedi Demo

Author File Description
Imperial Force

I made this demo a while ago, and released it on unknown portal.

You play as a Jedi in an RPG, like Astro_Mech's SOL1 and 2.

Have fun and enjoy, because its not likely I'll finish this.

Playability: 4
When I first downloaded it and read the instructions I felt a bit uncertain. The actually gameplay was amazing but the RPG element was difficult to use and not explained well at all.

Balance: 3
Difficult to use, even for veteran players, and there wasn't much explanation in the README or in the scenario itself. I had to use my own knowledge of RPG campaigns in SWGB to actually complete the battles, which were very well thought out and original (which added to the difficulty)

Creativity: 5
Very, very creative and fun. I liked the use of opening credits which harked to the films, the use of an air transport moving toward the sea-station and the creative use of interesting dialogue. Well written and well thought out.

Map Design: 5
The map was very good. Lots of rubble and many landing zones with interesting things in them. The eye candy wasn't overwhelming or under-used. Things like broken gates leading to flooded rooms was a nice touch and definately added to the atmosphere of a mysterious, abandoned station. Large map with lots of detail.

Story/Instructions: 5
The story was fun and heavily fleshed out. A little more character interaction between the two Jedi would have been nice and perhaps to play as the Plo Koon-esque character would have been more fun than your standard human Jedi but that's a personal thing. The instructions weren't great for what I wanted to understand but explained other areas in high detail.

Additional Comments: Good campaign with good RPG elements. Perhaps more instructions and easier RPG interface would help gain a higher rating. In the future perhaps utilize more playable characters. Also, in the battle part a completely different Jedi is used altogether, but perhaps that is because it is incomplete.
