Author File Description
darthjacob1153 It's the Rebel Display Table as seen in Episode IV. This mod is useful for any Yavin 4 scenario (or any Rebellion scenerio)

Includes Graphics and Icon

First ever finished mod, first to be sent in... be nice when reviewing (unless it's totally crud)

Ok, you wanted this mod review so here goes, I'm going to be brutaly honest though so get ready.

QUALITY: 2.0
Ok, first of all when I first saw this mod I had a very faint idea of what exactly it was, basicly it's just a circle with more tiny circles inside. There's a bit of OK shading near the bottom but that's it.

USEFULNESS: 3.0
This mod could be very useful for a New Hope or Yavin IV scenario but the overall quality takes away from the usefulness.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
My advice to you is to go back and look at the sceene with the table look at exactly how it looks and then make a mod, also read some of the tutorials out there they can be very useful.

It can be used with any rebel scenario, indeed any scenarion incolving a command centre for any civilisation - not just the Battle of Yavin - that doesn't have to be the death star there, it could be something else. You're very unlikely to use the mod on a tatooine scenario so it doesn't matter that it replaces tatooine house A.

Quality: 2

Not bad for a first mod in paint. The display is almost perfect. You've done the icon right as well. A few pointers to help you out:

First, it needs to have a thickness around the edge so it looks real. If you fix the angle you're looking at it that will be perfect.

Second, you need to get the horizontal shading on the edge right so it gets a bit darker at one side and changes more gradually to light 3/4 across then gets slightly darker. It can be quite tricky but it'll be worth it in the end.

Lastly, you could add more detail to the screen so it isn't solid colours. Go right down to the pixel level and put in some tiny different in shading to give it a sense of solidness. Remember even though it's a flat screen there will be some difference in the light hitting it.

Additional Comments:

Not bad for a first mod. Well done and keep at it.

Omri
