Demo: The Story of a Naboo Recruit

Author File Description
Beco
File Details
Clone Campaigns required?: No
Style: No style
Number of scenarios: 13
My first campaign. I haven't finished it yet. I hope to make 10 more scenarios soon.

I am also remaking the ones I have already finished.

The renaming thing does not work in my game, (don't ask why...)

Edit: I have updated the campaign, one more scenario + a few differences with the old ones. I changed those a few days ago, before this opened. The real version will have renewed scenarios, no of this demo.

Comments and revieuws are very welcome, then I know what I have to change for the real version.

At this moment I have one more scenario totally finished and I'm working on a 14th scenario involving the Jedi Temple (again).
THIS SCENARIO IS NOT MADE, DISTRIBUTED, OR SUPORTED BY LUCASARTS ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY LLC. ELEMENTS tm & (c) LUCASARTS ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY LLC AND ITS LICENSORS

Major Rick I have one thing to say: STOP!!!!!!! DO NOT PUBLISH ANYMORE SCENARIOS RIGHT NOW!!!! PLEASE!!! I AM BEGGING YOU! Listen, I can tell by these scearios that you are new so I am going to give you help. Beleive me, you need it.
OK. First, please listen for your reputation sake. It will be a hard hit but if you do these things it will change your world upside down. First, tell the story. In m1) for example, tell the background of what is going on. Use cutscenes by adding Player 1 map revealers and create object. Task Object is good as well. It was way too easy. It may be the first level but you have to draw the line. There was no sense of direction. It may be it the intelligence section but most people don't look. Even when I did, I still didn't know where it was (Map Revealers). The Army was gone before I even fought it. The Map needs waaaaay more detail. That is what the Gaia plants and stuff is for. Use Display Instructions instead of chat. I was happy you used it in clone wars. I understand that you don't have Clone Campaigns so I can't dismiss the Storm Troopers. USE THE CHANGE OBJECT NAME!!!! I had no clue what the heck was going on. I can't mention all the faults at once. BIG TIP: Combine Scenarios. Some scenarios were literally 10 seconds long. The only one that actually had direction in it was the holocron and coruscant. Even then the maze was near impossible to navigate.

Do this for me before you make any more:
- Outline a plot and think of dialouge like you are writing a movie or play.
- Read the Scenario Arcives here for trigger info and steps to a good scenario.
- Experiment with different triggers to get their feel.
- Combine Scenarios and make maps smaller.
- Add in game directions and drag the plot 'within' the scenario.
- If you can, download the mods installer, Shadows of the Empire Mods and the Shadow of the Empire campaign. Play it and get the idea of how it works in general. (Remember that it is a master 5.0 campaign).
- Type in Major Rick on the search engine and download the Celta Chronicles Demo from my thread. To be honest, it is a horrible scenario but everything that I am trying to get through to you is in that scenario. Play that demo and learn the basics from it.

I could tell you spent a lot of time on the story but never gave the audience your experience of the plot.
Remember that scenarios also need a lot of time taken into them. 2 hours is not a lot of time. 3 weeks to a month is average and about 1 and months with review is good to spend.
I really enjoyed the what plot was there and could tell it started good but never expanded. Treat the scenario like a movie or scene from a movie. You have to have dialouge, automated movement, an unraveling plot, and scenes that last for a good amount of time.

I won't post official reviews so people won't avoid this thread but please consider working on it and posting your revised version.

Work Hard and Good Luck!
Major Rick If re naming doesn't work then try making sure that the object is selected and 'Go to Object' goes to the object. It will crash otherwise. Try going to Trouble Shooting here or in the manuel as well.

Good Luck!

I see that I have a lot of work to make them better.

I will try another time for the renaming thing. And I will make the maps longer... I think I will just restart the whole campaign, that will make it a lot easier.

Thanks for all the usefull tips.
Major Rick No problem. Just give it time. I'm positive it will come out good in the end. Good Luck! I'm looking forward to the edited version!

I have uploaded a smal updated demo-version. With one more scenario.

The real version won't have any of those scenario's I will restart for all of them.

Edit: I have finished the real first scenario. Only thing left to do is giving everything a name. And I have found a way to do this. ( A friend of me has the game as well, and he will gice them the names. It works at his game).

But I still have a long way to go.

I have finished the first totally remade scenario. I might send it in soon.

I have bought Clone campaigns via internet so now I will be able to remake the whole campaign. Expect a demo soon.
