Plateau is an adaption of a custom random map script I created for AOKTC. This map script uses elevation commands to create a very different type of map - each player starts in a small glen by the side of a large central barren rocky plateau. There are some resources on the plateau, including lots of carbon in rock form, plus some extra nova, ore, and animals. The starting lowlands has a bit of small forests, but you will need to get to the plateau to get adequate carbon to sustain your economy in a long game. With the reliance on ranged units in SWBG, this map requires you to establish a defensive presence on the plateau to avoid being easily attacked from above should you remain only in your lowland base.

This map script has the usual amount of nova and ore, but the starting food resources are handled slightly different from the standard Lucas Arts setup. There are always some Muja Fruit and Bantha, though the amount randomly varies. The Eopies and the Dewbacks/Falumpasets can be absent randomly, and if present the number can vary like in the Lucas Arts standard pattern.

It helps the generation of the plateau as intended to play this on a map size appropriate for the number of players.

This map script proved great fun in AOKTC and in testing for SWBG. Feedback apppreciated!
