Triggers give a sense of life to a mission. Without triggers, missions you make are almost no different then skirmishes. Triggers can allow you to do almost anything you want them to do. Most people just settle for a “Win” trigger and a “Lose” trigger, this is good for only the simplest missions. --_NRN_R_Wedge1

With that, the author introduces the player to the trigger guide. What this guide does is to give a straightforward listing of all conditions and effects in the game. To a new editor, it's perfect: It's not a detailed (and potentially hard to understand) guide like those by the Punks -no offense- as it's not going deeper than just saying what the condition/effect does. It also explains terms like Starting state and Looping in a simple manner.

Let me elaborate shortly on exactly what I mean by "simply" by showing you what is put for "enable advanced buttons": Instead of saying "Enables the advanced buttons like Formations, stance, etc." he puts "turns on the buttons by the mini-map". Excellent put.

The trigger guide won't teach the experienced players anything new, but for the new designers, it's a ticket into the world of trigger (and a welcome one indeed).

The only reason I'm not giving this guide a perfect 5 is that the author sounds a bit unsure at a few points (ie. for freeze units it says "same as stop units, I think"). However, this is not much of an obstacle, and could I have given ratings more freely I would have given the guide a 4.75 or maybe even a 4.9. Enjoy.
If you are try to learn about triggers, DO *NOT* download this. It only seems to give you a list of triggers, no uses or anything. I downloaded it because I thought it would help me, but I ended up having to teach myself the trigger work.

This file is a waste of bandwidth!
I thought it helped with some of them, though he should have explained some of the buttons and how to set the trigger.
