Constant Number Guide v1.0

Here it is, version 1.0 of the guide to constant numbers within Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds. This list was created by myself with the help of Mameluke, and is similar to the utility released for Age of Kings.

For those not familiar, this is a listing of all the constant numbers for units both defined by name in the gamedata.drs file, and those left undefined. It can be a strong tool for Random Map Script writers, as it unlocks every potential unit in the game, including many heros and scenario editor units that were not included in the gamedata definitions.

This list is in rough form. I wanted to get it out to the community as quickly as possible, so it has not had much polishing. As such, the list itself is an Excel spreadsheet (my apologies to those without Excel). Later versions will be compiled into a Word document. The instructions for how to read the spreadsheet and how to use the numbers are included with a Word document.

There are also, as you read the list, several dead units I was unable to identify. These all happen in and around the 1200-1450 range, and are called DUNIT-UNK1 through (I believe) DUNIT-UNK21. If you can identify one or more of these, then respond to the thread I have created for this purpose in the General Discussion forum (that way people can know which units have been identified). I will include whomever finds each one in the next release. Please include the constant number when claiming an identification, as it'll make my job a little easier.

For now, I apologize for how rough it is, but I don't apologize for trying to get it out as soon as possible. The next version will be sorted, have some tables I'm working out, and other features. Until then, enjoy, and I would appreciate any feedback you may have.

plague006 A link of interest, if you want to look at the spreadsheet, but don't have excel, you can download the free excel spreadsheet viewer from those *cough* generous people at Micro$oft at this link
