B-wing/Landed Millennium Falcon
B-wing/Landed Millenium Falcon Mod
by JamesMartigo (01/04/2002)
This mod replaces the grapics from the (R) Advanced Bomber (Heavy Y-wing) with B-wing graphics. Sounds, Icons and names have also been altered.
Furthermore this mod replaces the bunker buildings for each civilisation into a Landed version of the Millenium Falcon. Since the Falcon replaces a bunker, you can garrison ten units inside of it (good in combination with trigger work). Also, since the Landed Millenium Falcon is of the same scale as the flying version, they look good next to each other (also nice for trigger work... you can now make the Falcon land and take off).

This is the sweetest thing I've ever seen. Here's my ratings:
The Land Falcon and B-Wing are good looking, they are just like I had seen them. The Falcon's legs are ok, but from what ive seen of what James can do, they could be alittle better. The funny thing is, on the Endor scenrio, you have to garrison ur units in the Falcon!!!lol.
Keep up the good work!!
Since James has just helped me a lot with my own mod, I thought I'd come and review his.
Landed Millennium Falcon:
Graphics: The legs are good. They are a good length and the actual drawing is okay, but could be better. The alignment of the Falcon and the shadow is perfect (and I know that this is tricky to do).
Other Changes: The icon has been changed successfully and so has the language.dll, so there can be no bad comments. Everything was done perfectly.
Usefulness: This is probably the most useful mod yet. There are a tonne of scenarios that could be made better with the landed falcon. Other added bonuses are the choice of unit to replace (Bunker-so you can garrison units), and the fact that it is the same scale as the origional flying falcon, meaning you can create a taking-off effect with triggers.
Overall: definitely a 5. The best change yet.
Graphics: The graphics on this simply blew me away. I don't know if James made them with blender or whether he downloaded them from blenderwars.com, but either way, they are superb!
Other Changes: The icon is great, and has been changed successfully. The sounds have been changed so that the unit no longer says "Y-Wing" when you click on it. This change seems fairly minor, but it adds to the smoothness of the unit, by making sure that it is a 100% total, complete, finished change. The language.dll file has also been changed, which makes the unit as good quality as the official LucasArts ones.
Usefullness: Not as useful as the Landed Falcon, but still very useful. Not many space scenarios have been made, which limits the effectiveness slightly, but maybe it will encourage more space scenarios to be made, because of the added variety. It also simply adds one of the coolest looking Star Wars spaceships to the game, which is worth doing in my opinion.
Overall: Another 5. Stunning graphics, and a total change. The only mod so far without any errors or down-sides whatsoever.
Overall Mod Rating: 5.0
+ Outstanding Graphics for the B-Wing
+ Total Changes for both mods
+ Falcon is very useful
- The legs on the falcon could have been better
Well, that just about wraps up my review. Keep modding James, the more mods from you the better.
(This is just a suggestion) It would be much better if you can allow the landed millenium falcon to fire against enemy units.
