Map Design2.0
Before i begin i know that Foxxy is a fellow PRP member but that has in NO way influenced my desicions on these ratings. I am reviewing this not just because he is a PRP member but also because hes one of my real life freinds. I will remain unbiased to this fact.

Playability 3 :

This was a a moderately fun map to play. The fact that you are on islands changes the tactics you use. Because you have virtually unlimited resources however it removes the game from the standard RM/DM style of a map. But then again it does follow in suite with the Frontline series.

The playability will vary depending on who you are playing against and how many. If its a 1V1 it can get a bit boring but if the map is full it can be a very fun map to play on. It also depends on the skill of your oponents

Balance 3 :

Each human player should start out in an equal position with equal starting resources and equal starting units. Obviously, the players don't have to match exactly, but they should be balanced. The map should also be examined to determine if all players have access to the same amounts of on-map resources. There are a lot of creative ways that map designers can use to make each player different, yet still balanced.

It is in my opinion that the islands can be slightly un balanced. Some are larger than others. However you do get the same amount of resources and units which makes up for it.

If you are on the middle island you are more succeptible to being owned. However this is made up with the fact that you get more units and a lot more room

Creativity 3 :

Once again a 3. The Idea behind the game follows the basic Frontline style Genre. It is the first ive seen set on islands which like that author says adds a tactical edge. It also has a story line which separates it from other Frontline games.

The game doesnt have many creative triggering and doesnt really offer us anything new. However it is a multiplayer scenario and with its build and destroy style there isnt much need for triggers.

Map Design 2 :

There is really not much to it. No elevation a small mix of terrain and in places it looks a bit drab. This is really where the author needs to improve. However it is a multiplayer game where you need to have as little lag as possible.

There are a few nice touches such as a volcano and other little bits but these are few.

Sory/Instructions 3 :

"Build up an overpowering force and conquor the islands of those who oppose you. Bear in mind the power of navys and air forces complementing each other."

As you can see there is not much to the instructions however what is given is enough to get an understanding of the game.

The story is a lot better. It is one of the few if only frontline games i have seen with an actual storyline.

Overall :

This has turned out to be an average game with its fun bits and its bad bits. I would definatley recomend downloading it and giving it a go. The Author has shown potential but needs to improve the map design. He should be proud of this.

Well Done
