Empire Strikes Back by DarthDexter is a newbie campaign, but... it is a fairly good one. I mean, amongst many n00b crap out here, this campaign really shines. And it should shine. It is clear that the maker isn't a very experienced designer, but this campaign showed that, though he has something to learn, he's very good.
Playability - 4
It WAS interesting to play through this campaign. Each level was unique in some way, and though there were some bugs or some things, like you didn't uncover one tile which had a "8" marker on it, to open the door, and... you after some fighting and jurneying, realise you must go back. But it's very interesting to play.
Balance - 4
This campaign was pretty balanced. Easy encounters were mixed with hard encounters, and my characters did die several times. The most challenging level was the Cloud City, where were some interesting things, like Threepio needing to kill Bespin workers that attacked him... it was a race from one switch that eleminated those workers, to another. Journeying with Lando, Chewie and Leia (with R2) through the Cloud City, fighting with troopers that were from both and back was too interesting.
Creativity - 5
The best part of the campaign, the creator really did some nice things. First, who said C-3PO can't kill other units? He can kill them fairly easy... going on the sounding R2-unit sound, C-3PO got into some little trap... with Bespin Workers as his enemies, he needed to run from one switch to another to eleminate them. Seems pretty original. There were some other interesting things: like walking inside Millenium Falcon, repairing things and other stuff. And what was most impressive: it really felt that the ship was damaged and people were trying to fix it. Han walking there and there, Chewie going after tool parts...
Map Design - 3
Map design isn't the best... 3 is ususally given to map design that looks like a Random Map. Well, I would give it two, but... it's seen that the designer wanted to put some effort in the map, so, let's not discourage him, shall we?
Story/Instructions - 4
Instructions were always clear, and story, though taken from Episode V, was delivered here nicely.
Overall - 4
Maybe someone will say that I overestimate this campaign... but, this is really a pearl in the newbie campaigns out here. I suggest all peopla playing it, and encourage the maker to improve himself and make more, not less interesting campaigns.
Great,the mission is intresting.
Great,I can do things within my power.
Luke's one and Han's one is creative.
Map Design: 3
Random map. Also, the one incloud city is so annoying.
You can improve somethings such as the map. Also, the duel of Vader and Luke can be more detail.
