This is a demo of the Battle of Hoth level in SW Battlefront. I'll release more levels as time goes by. Please enjoy this one.
This is a demo and will end in 1010 game seconds (which is quite a while depending on the speed settings you use)
I have not put any scenario instructions in it thus far, so don't try reading them. But I will put them eventually.
Just choose your team, choose a person, and fight.
Have fun, and please review this so I'll know what to change. Thanks. |

I'll be honest from the get go. This was, well, nothing good. The first review was utter shit and should not count towards this campaign's rating as there was no justification for the perfect scores.
Playability: 1
This recieved a score of 1 because I had no idea what to do, therefore I was unable to "play" so to speak. It was not fun, it was not interesting. That said, it also took a hit to playability because if it wasn't fun to play the first time, I'm not going to want to play it again.
Balance: 2
What is there to say about balanced. For all I know it was well balanced, but there was nothing to show for it. All I did was wander aimlessly towards the enemy and then wander back. Sometimes the enemies would fall easy, sometimes not. Either way, there was no sense of balance.
Creativity: 2
From what I could guess at first, the premise would give the creativity a good shot, hence why it wasn't a 1, however the implimentation was poor. Its a good start: Pick a side, pick a unit type, fight the enemy. Unfortunately thats where the creativity stops. The rest that I could complete of this campaign without getting frustrated wasn't creative. I saw a bunch of AI units wandering around, without real purpose as to why they were there. All I could assume was they were on a scout AI that the creator was hoping would run into enemy units and fight, which was also poor planning.
Map Design: 2
Not much to say here either. Granted it was a Hoth setting and you can only do so much for a winter setting, so he got points based on the trouble of the location. However, the enviornment was just repeating Carbon rocks on snow. It was not nice to look at, and it had no sense of direction to help the player figure out what to do.
Story/Instructions: 1
Nothing helpful for me. The most one can figure for the story is that you're at the battle of Hoth... okay, what else? Instructions? None. It was all guess and check through the whole thing.
Additional Comments:
The whole scenario was aimless. Although the author said in the description that he had not yet included instructions, that was bad anyways. You don't not include instructions for your scenario! Demo or not, how are the people playing this supposed to know what to do unless you tell them?
This project needs some SERIOUS work if its going to be receiving any good ratings in the future.
To people making these 1 line reviews: Don't review if you can't explain why you chose what you did.
