The Crazy Person
Map Design2.0
Playability: 2
I can't really say I had fun with this. Owning everyone around you slowly with a fleet of star destroyers over and over gets boring fast. I'm sure I could've mixed it up if I wanted too, but I, like probably many other players, decided on the path of least resistance. If the quality of this campaign was higher, I'd give it greater replay value, but I didn't enjoy it the first time around, so the last thing I want to do is play again.

Balance: 1
The Empire (you) is a giant power house and I felt like there was very little to challenge the might of my starting units. It was pretty much a process of tasking all my air units into a couple groups and then carpet bombing my enemies into submission until everyone was dead. The worst was probably the fact that the star destroyers could destroy enemy AA units from a comfortable distance outside their kill zone. I feel there was a misuse of Gaia, since as I approached a number of planets, buildings would magically become under my control, occupying enemy forces while I rain fire from above. Horribly balanced in the players favor.

Creativity: 3
Perhaps the only saving grace, albeit poorly executed. I always like non-linear gaming experiences, and I liked the idea of moving from planet to planet to enlist their membership in the Empire or destroying the dissenters, but it felt like there was no task for me to fulfill, the enemies were already there and my "allies" just kind of sat around.

Map Design: 2
Bland, a bunch of buildings on some floating grass and metal platforms. Felt like a single player Senate game with no one to talk to and none of the gimmicks.

Story/Instructions: 1
Virtually nothing aside from "kill bad guys, palpatine must survive". There's a small blurb of non-coherent story and half a sentence of instruction. Nothing helpful to me that I couldn't infer by playing for a few minutes.

Additional Comments:

I like the concept, but it needs a lot of work.
