Features *FF style scenario, battle for your outpost. * Gain nova for kills, use nova to buy troops or mechs. *Engineers, engineers can activate turrets and unlock doors. *Two part scenario, fight for your outpost then help Princess Leia get to her transport. *Secrets, Xcal will be hiding secrets in the level that may help you, or may help you in another scenario. ;) *The enemy has a morale system(more deaths on your side, the more they're morale increases, which makes them stronger.)
There might be random crashes on some computers, this is not my problem, it's a lucas arts bug. Also, this is for intermediate players, it might be hard for beginners, for beginners I suggest reading the guide.
Have fun!
Also, e-mail me bugs if you find any BEFORE reviewing, thank you.

Ok, here is my review. First off, this is a fun scenarios, one that is good to play if you want something quick and all action.
Playability: 5
Like I said, this scenario is pretty fun. There wasn't a dull moment because you were always under attack. Although I beat the scenario in a little over 20 minutes, I thought the ratio of fun to time made this deserve a five.
Balance: 4
The balance was pretty good. There wete a few almost-too-hard parts in the second half of the scenario. I thought the first part was balanced well though.
Creativity: 4
Well, nothing really creative, but it isn't plain either. I thought some of the touches like the hidden things were nice. Also, the enemy morality was cool.
Map Design: 4
The map design on the first section was very good, but I though the interior eycandy in the second part was lacking, otherwise this would have gotted a five. It just seemed like the rooms were too empty. Maybe mixing up the terrain and adding prefab shelters would help. The music was also nice.
Story / Instructions: 4
The story was about how Princess Leah escaped Yavin after the destruction of the Death Start. It wasn't totally original, but I don't think that is a reason to count off points. The instructions weren't as good though. I was a little confused about somethings, because there were not many instructions in the actual scenario (and there was no pre-play briefing). If you read the tips you get in the zip, though, then everything makes since.
Overall: 4.2
A good scenario if you want something quick and exciting. I feel it is worth the time to download. Good job, Xcal :) |
