Playability: 4.
I gave it a 4 because it kept you interested and was fairly challenging. Also, it covered differnt aspects of what the campaign will bring.
Balance: 4.
It was fairly balanced, except those dam Bursas.. The fighters were almost to easy, but the ground was fairly diffucult. Also including the backdoor into the base helped if your low on men.
Creativity: 5.
Becuase i haven't see a campaign like this one, so i gave it a 5. Also some of the ideas used were good, like the dieing message and the victory ones. Also i believe he did the map by himself so point for that.
Map Design: 5.
It was all done origanly, with some suprises. I thought the map was done quite well.
Story/intro: 5.
The intructions were quite clear and easy to understand, not much confusion there.. also the messages as said above, were original.
Overall, pretty dang good, cant wait for the full version! |

Playability: 5.
I give it a 5 because it was very playable. This is a demo of his very first scenario and I wouldn't expect anyless.
Balance: 4
You did seem to have an overwhelming force, especially when you got the AT-AT. The bursas seemed a little too difficult to defeat with storm troopers though. A lot of my small walkers were destroyed while attacking the base, and I am sure that's what would really happen.
Creativity: 3
Well, this is a demo and it didn't seem like you spent a lot of time making the intelligence files, history, etc. The basic premise of what your campaign was; control Vader between Episode III and IV was a pretty good idea. This is probably one of the better ones, actually.
Map Design: 4
It needs a little work, like making more paths to get through the forest and a little more eyecandy and elevation. But other than that, it was actually better than one of mine! :(
Story/Instructions: See creativity. There needs to be a little more meat to these things. |

Playability - 5 - Everything ran smoothly except for one minor problem. When I started fighting the X Wings, one of their ships turned green and we all sat there for a couple seconds before moving to the planet.
Balance - 4 - I'm not entirely a great judge of balance, but I would say it could have been a little harder, with a few more guys thrown in at different areas.
Map Design - 4 - The map looked better then a random map, but not a whole lot. I didn't see any elevation, and it needed more eyecandy.
Story/Instructions - 4 - The instructions were clear, though, as was noted, in one area there was an objective that was basically repeated. "Darth Vader must not be shot down," and "Darth Vader must not fall." Something like that....The story was rather short, but, as a demo, it went pretty good and was written well.
Creativity - 3 - It wasn't entirely the most creative idea for a campaign. Darth Vader attacking a Rebel Base can be played in the Lucas Arts campaign. There weren't many creative elements. The space battle was too short and the walk through the woods wasn't that difficult. The only thing of interest on the planet was the Bursas. |

This in response to Bendak's challenge.
Playability:3
It was ok, on par with the LEC levels in terms of gameplay. A nice simple, mainly fixed force map. Not a huge amoun of fun but enough for the time it took.
Balance:3
Pretty good, though Vader was not really in much danger unless you did really silly things with him. Not too easy to lose though which was my only niggle.
Creativity:2
It was a nice concept but pretty limited in its creativity. Triggering was generally simple and not too innovative. But its always this that suffers from lack of experience. Time will tell how this guy improves.
Map Design:3
Average, LEC type stuff, possibly slightly below that but nothing to write home about. Roughly a few hours work for an average designer, but signs of promise.
Story/Instructions:2
Lacking somewhat, some basic objectives and details. But nothing really specialor relevant to the scenarios.
Signs of promise though.
Overall a fair effort for a first map, with a bit of practice and effort a potential for greatness |
