This scenario caught my attention due to the name. Resident Evil is a kick-butt game, and to attempt to match a scenario to its standard is very hard.
The creator did a very good job portraying what happened. There is alot of stuff going on, but you still have to pay attention to what you are doing, or you will be killed rather quickly.
Playability: This scenario has a very open-ended goal. Move charachters A & B to _____ location. The map design was such that there are close to infinitely many paths of achievement. If you play the scenario twice, you can only have the same experience if you Really want to. On the other hand, I don't especially like such open-ended goals, but that is my opinion.
Balance: Perhaps just a little too tough. I played 10+ times, and only beat the level twice. (Maybe I just suck...who knows)
Creativity: Laid out for the designer with the Resident Evil games. Not much imagination.
Map Design: With such a large map to fill, it is tough to make it all look nice. Especially if it is all city. Perhaps different terrain other than grass1 should have been used. Elevations are nice, as well.
Story / Instructions: As said before, clear enough goals and story line, but rather open-ended.
I really enjoy playing resident evil for playstation and i found this scenario rather enjoyable, but I must admit I was kind of let down with the lack of creativity.
Play: I found it rather enjoyable to play and did not find any real bugs. I also found the non-linear map refreshing.
Balance: I wish more game were harder like this, but I must admit that at times it just got plain annoying.
Creativity: There could have been so much more trigger work. It would have been better if you had dead police turn into Zombies or Leon or Claire could be infected. Simply put, it needs work
Map Design: I'll admit it's hard to fill a map of this size, but the creator puts hardly any eye-candy in, and there is very little variety in the terrain. If i remember correctly, I did not see one bush.
Story: The stroy was given, but it doesn't mean that everybody knows it. To improve may i suggest putting in some dialogue.
This scenario is a fun experience to play, but i found myself adding eye-candy and dialogue in the editor myself to make it better. I believe this is the first scenario i have seen from this creator and i give him many kudos for his scenario being that it is his first. I hope you can fix the problems and maybe create a better playing experiance.
It was playable but your squad is eleminated after a few zombies. You should start out with a bigger squad.
Nothing was really wrong here but it just felt like something was missing. It's not a bad thing or a good thing. I just feel like there's something missing, that's all.
It's hard to be creative with a story already made up but you did a fair job at making it your own.
Map Design: 4
A large, well disigned city. The maze part near Claires squad is clever.
It's not very clear at what to do. Also, I beat the level without contact with the SWAT team mentioned in the objectives.
It was fair. You seem to be a Resident Evil fan like me. You can try out my RESIDENT EVIL 4 demo to get some ideas for your future RESIDENT EVIL scenarios. Good luck!
