Pleebe Tarrdo, Director of Technology for the Trade Federation, is in trouble. His latest project is over budget, over deadline, and the other directors are calling for his head. Worse yet, the Technocratic Union is about to announce the completion of a similar project.
Tarrdo's future looks grim.
That is, until he calls in a favor from Isac Lizzo, the Federation's Minister of Acquisitions.
Time for a little "business merger" - surely the Union would be willing to negotiate the trade of their new project... especially when staring down the blaster rifles of battle droid battalion 676.
Hostile Takeovers is a single-player, single-mission campaign scenario for Galactic Battlegrounds that requires the Clone Campaigns expansion installed. Please report any bugs or comments to skarsten@optonline.net |

Playability:4
It was a challenge, a true challenge, which most levels about here aren't. It was a lot of fun, and very well done.
Balance:4
There were, I felt, a hell of a lot of enemy troops to worry about. 1 Strike Mech = a lot of trouble and the 3 times I failed were because one of the key units got a little bit too close to them. The Turrets were annoying too, but Maul dealt with them.
Creativity:4
Nice triggers, the idea of having maul pop in for an additional mission was a great idea, as was the Power Regulator.
Map Design:5
Very nice map, looked and felt like a city, pity you had to use Clone Troopers though, they spoilt it a little.
Story/Instructions:5
Excellent story, very informative instructions. |

Playability: (4) The scenario was good fun to play. No bugs. No issues. Just great, except the start of the scenario, i couldn't find a way into the city for quite a while :-{
Balance: (4) The battle droids got massacred when one strike mech had them in its sights, and Maul got pretty messed up when too many clone troopers attacked him, goo balance. Well done :-)
Creativity: (4) Some nice new features in this scenario, The power regualtor - gate thingy was good, and as Koenig said, it was good that Maul dropped by.
Map Design: (4) The outside fo the city was not too good, but this category scored a 4 because of the rest of the map. The city was well laid out and designed. But some work needs to be done on the landing zone and the outskirts of the city. Though perhaps the creator could've used Bespin Guards or some other miscellaneous faction rather than Clone Troopers.
Story/Instructions: (4) The story was great, i'd never of thought of anything like it. There was only 1 occasion when i didn't know what to do, but that was at the start, i was unsure if i needed to build a base using the worker, and where the city entrance was.
Overall, a pretty solid campaign.
