Playability: (3) The campaign was enjoyable to play, but the start of the second scenario was boring, having to move through that labyrinth of cliffs and stormtroopers needs to be shortened, or reduce the amount of paths the player can take. It took me a long time to get to the city, and i had used most of the healthpacks that were available.

Balance: (4) This was nicely done, the player suffered plenty of damage, but there were always healthpacks to fix him up. As i said above though: the start of the second scenario was hard, there were too many stormtroopers around every corner.

Creativity: (4) Its new to see a campaign based on the Crimson Empire book, and the campaign made use of the Heal-AI trick, but there was nothing really new, the city needs a little more creativity in the way the buildings are placed though, they were just corridors of buildings.

Map Design: (4) The deserts looked great, especially at the end of the cinematic scenario, during the landing scene. But in the second scenario there was much to be desired - the desert was ok, but it was swamped with winding cliffs. The biggest drawback in this section is the city design. The buildings were placed in rows, creating corridors as streets. This needs to be changed and the cliffs outside the city could do with a little tinkering too.

Story/Instructions: (3) The story followed the novel well. And the instructions were well done too, however, i don't think the creator should have put his contact details in the objectives category, but rather at the end of the scenario. He seemed to be trying to make sure everyone knew it was him to created it and filled every screen with contact details, which made it a little hard to weed out the things i was supposed to be doing.

Overall, i say you should download this demo, it is fun to play and should turn out to be a great campaign once the full version is released.

Crimson Empire - Review
By Master Welsh

Playability
This scenario was very fun to play, and the various fights around the different places had the right feel to them, making them seem like they were real.

Balance
This scenario got a 4 for balance because it was generally well done all through the scenario, but on some occasions Kir Kanos was ran down to very low health and died against overwhelming odds (eg. the trooper trap).

Creativity
This got five because the story is very original, and there were some trigger tricks and just basic tricks that caught my eye, like the aformentioned 'Trooper Trap', and the Turrets that turned against you when you walked in between them.

Map Design
3, because most of the time it was great (inside the building, the ventilation shaft, the cliffs), but the streets of the city were pretty bad, with them going in perfectly straight lines with the same buildings over and over again.

Story / Instructions
Like I said, the story is creative and involving, and the Intructions were impeccable - you couldn't spot a fault in them, they told you exactly what to do, and were crystal clear.

Overall
While there are a few improvements that could be made, this is generally a good scenario and a very worthy download. Well done, KevintheKing, and keep the good work up.
