The Battle near Naboo

Author File Description
alriad99
File Details
Clone Campaigns required?: No
Style: Build and Destroy
The scenario takes place on one of Naboo's resource-rich moons which the trade federation invaded and captured.
Qui-Gon Jinn is sent to recapture the moon for Naboo. The Royal Starship has also accompanied him.

This is a pretty cool scenario, I liked it, and I hope you like it too.

Don't forget to give me your opinions about it.

Playability
This was decent but it was no where near fantastic. It wasn't detailed or really fun or interesting.
Balance
Considering I could win this mission with the Royal Starship alone I don't think it was very balanced.
Creativity
I haven't heard of the story before and other than that it was nothing special.
Map Design
Mediocre seems to be the word of this scenario.
Story Instructions
Whats that word again... mediocre.

Playability: 2
This scenario is at the very least, functional. It's a very basic Build & Destroy game set on an 'Arena' styled space map. The resource deposits available are massive, and you start with numerous powerful units. Aside from that, there's virtually nothing that couldn't be done by just starting up a Random Map game.
==========

Balance: 1
The level is very simple. So simple in fact, that you can win it with a single unit - the Naboo Royal Starship. Its attack range is higher than that of the enemy AA weapons, so you can destroy both objectives within moments of the scenario starting.

Even if you decide not to use the Starship, you'd be hard-pressed to find a significant challenge. The massive resource stockpiles in your starting base ensure that you'll never run short or be forced to expand dangerous territory, and you are equipped with several shielded Droideka, more of which can be found and captured around the map.
==========

Creativity: 2
There are no particularly unique features about the scenario. It is at its core, just a Random Map. Although it at least attempted to present some semblance of plot.
==========

Map Design: 3
As stated above, it's an asteroid-based Arena Random Map with inflated resource deposits. Not a particularly great one either, seeing as there are no natural obstacles or space barriers common to such maps. There's no need for Air Transports since there is a flat path directly from your base to the enemy.
==========

Story/Instructions: 2
The story consists of simplified, 1 sentence objectives and briefing entries. The Trade Federation has captured one of Naboo's moons, and Naboo has to take it back. That's pretty much all there is to it.
==========

Additional Comments:
All in all, it's a simplified Random Map with some added heroes and an excuse plot. Not outright terrible, but there's nothing that couldn't be experienced by simply starting a Standard game.
