Interesting turn of events, and quite frankly, I'm glad to see Filoni involved.
Perhaps an older Ahsoka Tano will appear in this series.
I personally hope they try to take a more series tone with the series, but some how the doubt of that eats away more than the Jar Jar Binks episodes of Clone Wars ever could. The Disney ownership is giving us new movies, the partnership with EA will give us new games; the next couple of years will determine whether or not we actually wanted any of it.
Whoa.

And it's rather explicitly about his wife. Unless Anakin's a kiddie-fiddler.

Quoted from Zaarin:
Anakin was first mentioned falling to the dark side in 1977. Anakin was first shown falling to the dark side in 2002 2005. Ahsoka Tano first existed in 2008. Which means that Ahsoka Tano was not considered as a motive for his fall when it was written, either in 1977 or in 2005. While after the fact her exile may have been considered as "additional motivation," it cannot be considered primary or even particularly significant, since his fall was originally written before her story even existed.
Ahsoka is canon and her story and Anakin's story intertwine because she was his padawan. As a result the above statement is irrelevant.
As things are now the question as to whether or not Anakin would've still turned to the dark side had Ahsoka not left the jedi order becomes quite relevant.
Quoted from Moff:
And it's rather explicitly about his wife. Unless Anakin's a kiddie-fiddler.
Things would've happened differently had Ahsoka not left the jedi order you know. She would've been present during the events of Revenge Of The Sith and could've been an influence to prevent Anakin from turning to the dark side.

As a result the above statement is irrelevant.
Out-of-universe events are completely relevant. Ahsoka may be canon (of all the things that needed to be purged from the EU...), but she didn't exist when Anakin's fall to the dark side was first written. Therefore any influence she had on that event must be considered secondary, since the writers presumed he already had sufficient motivation.
She would've been present during the events of Revenge Of The Sith and could've been an influence to prevent Anakin from turning to the dark side.
If Obi-Wan, Anakin's mentor, wasn't a sufficient influence, why would his padawan of a couple years make a difference? If Padmé's awkwardly-acted, poorly-written "You're going down a path I can't follow!" plea didn't make a difference, whatever whining Ahsoka might have done probably wouldn't either.

Well, the trailer for Star Wars Rebels implies that Ahsoka leaving had something to do with Anakin's fall to the dark side.

They should've killed Maul and had Ventress live.
She is by far the most interesting character of the two.
It was a mistake to kill her off.
Of course I can always hope that she'll make a surprise appearance in Star Wars Rebels which would make Dark Disciple to no longer be canon.
All it would take is for her to appear in it and that would undo her death.

I actually agree with you on this. Of course, I think resurrecting Maul is the absolute stupidest thing in Star Wars, films, shows, or EU.

...Mofferences, Moffships, Dark Greetings, Leia robot wedding, clone Boba, Boba lives/dies vacillation, Fandalorians, whaling aesops, a cartoon about the Ewoks...
Also, decent episode... but Leia sounded far too old to be 15. Or 20. She sounded more mid-thirties. <_<
I do like how the Imperial lieutenant came crazy-prepared to deal with Leia's bullshit, though. And also, Leia damn near blew the operation and almost got everyone killed because she had to rub the lieutenant's nose in his impending failure.

I have the great fortune of never having seen it, but I really can't imagine it's worse than resurrecting the most boring character ever who was also killed in the most thorough manner ever. I might have been slightly more okay with it if he'd come back Darth Sion fashion, but robo-spider Maul? No thanks. :/

Yes, I recall reading that the Revan novel went out of its way to demolish KotOR2. It can stand side-by-side with Robo-spider Maul.

...I think those concepts are mutually contradictory. <_<
And, also, completely destroys the concept of storyline integrity. A storyline they still have a lot of money to make back from.
Does that I felt the episode was too short mean I liked it, or they're writing out these really good ideas... then cramming in the resolution in the five minutes after the last commercial break?

CarDiv5 has more... Personality? than CarDiv1, which is just "sempai and cold girl". CarDiv5 has the action/cool dynamic going on, sort of.
But back on topic now. If Thrawn does appear, and as a main antagonist, this will probably a bigger destruction to the EU Legends than Sheev Palpatine. I would much prefer Thrawn to be a background commanding officer who gets underlings to deal with the main characters. When the underlings hopelessly fail because it's Rebels, "at least" Thrawn can still be a Creed-level strategic genius, and it's the underlings' fault for screwing things up.
IMO the best course of action they can take to keep Thrawn's genius and Rebels' ongoing, early TCW-like "heroes must win" stance is if they make Thrawn a hypercompetent threat who does manage to screw over the Rebels in a couple of episodes, before handing the case over to someone (Like Kallus, who loses two AT-ATs UGH) who then screws it up at the last moment/falls victim to a deus ex machina. Worst case scenario Thrawn becomes another Tarkin and gets defeated by spray-painted TIE fighter (disgusting).
