Interesting turn of events, and quite frankly, I'm glad to see Filoni involved.
Perhaps an older Ahsoka Tano will appear in this series.
I personally hope they try to take a more series tone with the series, but some how the doubt of that eats away more than the Jar Jar Binks episodes of Clone Wars ever could. The Disney ownership is giving us new movies, the partnership with EA will give us new games; the next couple of years will determine whether or not we actually wanted any of it.
Whoa.

Jack was a real turn off to me at first, but she became an interesting character. I'm still not convinced that making her wear nothing but a very uncomfortable looking leather strap in the first game was really necessary, though.

I may keep an eye out to watch Star Wars: Rebels with the hope of seeing Ahsoka and Ventress make an appearance in it.
But, it's likely their characters will have to be older because...
The series time frame takes place 5 years before the Battle of Yavin and fourteen years after the foundation of the Empire.
It's really kinda of a shame that they didn't have the time frame continue from the end of Revenge Of The Sith instead.
It would've been interesting to see how Ahsoka would've reacted to the rise of the empire and finding out that Anakin turned to the darkside.

Now, Space Aladdin probably is the first military commander of the Rebel Army or something hopelessly stupid like that.

My God... I'm going to have to watch this. Bets will be taken on how long I survive. Also, I know plot armour is a thing we just have to deal with in Star Wars, but to come out from behind a crate where you are taking cover from a dozen Stormtroopers firing at you, climb on to the crate right in front of them, look at them ever so heroically, stroll towards them, casually assemble your lightsabre and point it at them rather than raise it to defend your miraculously unscathed body... wouldn't you say that's pushing it, maybe?

Not if you have the power to use the force.
After all Darth Vader used the force as a shield against Han Solo's blaster when he fired at him in The Empire Strikes Back.

I think they're applying their Battle Droid humor to Stormtroopers.
I actually don't mind this type of thing happening to Battle Droids, since, you know... their AI might not be up to par, plus they may need to process visual information or whatnot. But a trained soldier leaning his face against something that's clearly going to blow up... >_<

Exactly - and in fact the very reason for using clone was because they're smarter than droids. Applying the same humour completely overrides that...
Not if you have the power to use the force.
After all Darth Vader used the force as a shield against Han Solo's blaster when he fired at him in The Empire Strikes Back.
If that's the case, then why doesn't every Jedi EVER do this? What is the point of even deflecting blaster fire if you can... I don't know, brush it aside with the force? Darth Vader is a very special case. We have one case of him "catching" blaster fire, which he was totally ready for, and with his mechanical hand... not to mention, Darth Vader is supposed to be the most powerful Jedi evarrr or whatever. This guy can't be that special - he went under the radar for plenty of time, it appears, and I don't recall him being referenced by any other Jedi as being powerful... mostly because he doesn't exist.
So I'm still calling bull. One Jedi in the movies was capable of shielding himself from blaster fire, and to be honest we're not even sure if he used the force or just his metal hands. He was ready for it and blocked a total of two lasers. This guy is standing up on a crate in plain view of a dozen Stormtroopers who are all shooting at him and he doesn't even look like he's concentrating or creating any kind of space bending forcefield. Plot Armour Ultimate, that's what it is.

Actually--well, I was going to say "canon" but that means as much as "purple monkey dishwasher" now--there are two theories, both co-existing. One is that Vader's gloves are basically blaster-proof due to the material/Force enchantment (there's some kind of jewel in one of them, too). The other is he used the Force. Now, it's entirely possible both are true and it just made him extra blaster-proof on his hands.
But yeah, Imps are going to get the Battle Droid treatment. Which, in turn, pisses on the accomplishments of the film heroes because what victory is there in defeating an enemy that can't walk through a door without smacking his head every damned time, uses equipment that completely impedes vision, "can't shoot" (well, maybe Obi-Wan will fight a bunch of Stormtrooper snipers... who will of course be the only ones in existence and he'll wipe them all out, but color his perception on the "precision" of Stormtroopers)--oh, right... Obi-Wan is supposed to appear at some point--and every other moronic thing heaped on the Empire for KOMEDY.

This is true.
Anakin/Darth Vader is suppose to be the most powerful force user.
He probably could've ended up defeating Obi-Wan had he had better control over his emotions.
His rage and cockiness lead to his defeat against Obi-Wan.
Quoted from ISOmetric:

I doubt every jedi character in Star Wars has been revealed by name. We are only aware of the jedi that the writers reveal to us. I'm sure there are plenty of jedi that were never revealed, but yet still existed. So, we can't say that any jedi that Star Wars: Rebels introduces doesn't exist.
Besides, Star Wars: Rebels takes place fourteen years after the events of Revenge Of The Sith. How old does the jedi character look to you?
He was either a youngling at the time of Revenge Of The Sith or was a padawn of a jedi that could've been granted the rank of jedi knight just before Order 66 and ended up surviving it.
In the case of being a surviving youngling he could just be referring to himself as a jedi despite never acquiring the rank of a jedi knight.
But, considering that he has his own lightsaber I'm assuming that he was made a jedi knight just prior to Order 66 and survived it.

Well, force or not he's a character that decides to display a lot of guts in such a situation. You can give him credit for showing such bravery or you can resort to calling him a idiot...I guess the writer who made him do such a thing is leaving it up to the individual who watches the show.

Exactly! That's plot armour!
It's got nothing to do with this guy's ability to wield the force and create his space-warp, it's simply because that's what the writers wanted at the time. Plot armour, through and through.
I doubt every jedi character in Star Wars has been revealed by name.
But I would have thought that if one can use the force to effortlessly defend himself from a large group of troopers head-on then he would have been identified as being ridiculously powerful from an early age. I mean, look how young Anakin was when they decided he was going to be more powerful than Yoda. Then again, it is possible that he's been the really powerful guy all along, and the writers are just chucking him in and saying, "Yeah, this guy you've never heard of before is actually the toughest guy in the franchise!" That would be really sloppy and lazy of them, but I still wouldn't put it past these yobs.

Well, I'm going with idiot, because I really don't think it's force. Because I highly doubt that kind of power exists, and if it did then we probably would have heard about to by now. Because that's more powerful than Vader, for sure... it's totally plot armour, because the writers thought it would look nice without considering how dumb it actually was.
But anyway, another topic:
He was either a youngling at the time of Revenge Of The Sith or was a padawn of a jedi that could've been granted the rank of jedi knight just before Order 66 and ended up surviving it.
This has got me thinking - I wonder what stage he was at when Order 66 hit? I get the feeling (from his character and just sort of the way he's been set up) that he was actually kicked out of the order, which would explain why he wasn't killed in Order 66. It's just a feeling I have about the character. He looks bitter, but I guess that could be for any number of reasons - like all your friends being gunned down by the government.
It's a long road that has no turning - It's never too late to mend. The darkest hour is before the dawn, and even this war must end.

You do realize that I was referring to jedis in general that haven't been named before, right?
There might have been a misunderstanding if you thought otherwise.
(Perhaps one of us might have misread something.)
Anakin was the only one that has been mentioned as being the most powerful.
I wasn't even impling that the jedi in Star Wars: Rebels was more powerful than him.

I don't know if the characters listed will actually appear in Star Wars: Rebels, but this guy named Robin Parrish behind the site did make good arugments for them to appear.
And Ahsoka and Ventress are on the list.
And Robin Parrish thinks that Ahsoka's appearance in Rebels is pretty much 100%.
And Ventress gets a 95% chance of appearing on the show.
Edit: This list was obviously made before season 6 came out on Netfex (which I didn't see), but you guys told me that both Ahsoka and Ventress weren't even in it so they are still alive to be able to appear in Star Wars: Rebels.
