The Scenario Design Help Thread

Greetings, fellow Scenario Designers. I'm just letting you know that the Help Thread has been emptied so that you won't have to shuffle through 25 pages of questions and answers before you ask your questions. Instead, take a look at the Scenario Design Page that Angel AoErat has provided and already posted for us in his other thread, and take a look at everything there is to know about Scenario Design before asking any questions.

Well the name sums it up, it reveales the part of the map it is placed in for the player that owns it.

i know it does that, but how do you choose 'when it reveals'? Do you just use the timer condition

Well you can always use a create object effect. Just make sure the trigger starting state is off and then ativate it with another trigger when you want to.

ok its me again . This time its to do with the 'Display Instuctions' box. I can have a maximum of one line of text, but un other scenarios ive seen much more. Is it just my version of SWGB that dos this?

Do you have CC? Wait you have mac right that could be a problem (I doubt it but...). I would make sure you have all the updates.

i have two questions,
(1)how i can make the explosions like in some of the scenarios of aok

(2)i read the file of this forum about Healing AI Trick but i dont underestand, someone can explain me?

I'm doing crawling text for an intro. How do you center the text? I tried spacing but unless the computer displays are the same it'll look off-center.

It's difficult to centre text. I just keep it over to the left and have the title in the centre of that. Unless you can use HTML.

You make spaces all the way to the next line, then it will be centered.

You create the trigger on the side it says Trigger Description, to the right of it say set objective on.
then in the blank box put the objective and the conditions and effects in.

Hi, I was wondering how to create units but bringing that unit to an area and have alot more pop up somewhere else. So if I have a Trooper it will make troopers.

Trigger:

Condition: Bring Object to Area
Effect: Create Object

Keep creating more "Create Object" effects for how many units you want to appear. If you want AI to do this, you will need a "Task Object" effect in a seperate trigger.

ok, i have a problem- how do i mae a specific unit(say a hero) attack another specific unit(say a trooper)? i tried using the 'Task Object' effect, but it didnt work. Could anyone help me?

Task the jedi to the trooper. Hm, if it dont work, make sure that neither the Jedi nor the trooper are being controlled by player 1 when this happens.

Also, double check diplomacy for BOTH units' players. Make sure they say enemy for eachother.

If you want make that 1 troop make a lot of troops try this:

Trigger: Lopping

Owner Fewer Object
Bring objects to area
create object
task object

Explosion Triggers:

OK, you need to make a trigger to create an explosion trigger, ownership Player 1. (I think)

IN THAT SAME TRIGGER kill objects in area, set it to explosion trigger, player 1, and voila, when it comes time, you see exploaion there.

Just use conditions for when you want the explosion to go off.

I am having difficulties importing my bitmap into the game. I have a .jpg in my Game folder. Isn't that what I am supposed to do?

Panda, loop the trigger if you want Pekt to repeatedly appear.
