Greetings, fellow Scenario Designers. I'm just letting you know that the Help Thread has been emptied so that you won't have to shuffle through 25 pages of questions and answers before you ask your questions. There is a way, but it's abit complex. Search for a thread by Berserker Jerker here, he'll explain.

NOTE: It's only used to fool the player, actually there is a normal unit but it isn't visible to the player thanks to the trick.

hi i have a problem... when i do triggers then new trigger,new effect,sound and i select a mp3 song,then i press test on the menu,then the game crashes because of the music..how can i change it so the game won't crash?

Hello. I have a question.

It pertains to AI, and Projectile Detection.

I use Ultimate RPG AI (The Best by far) and I got it to detect projectiles, got the "ammo" to tick down etc.

However, it seems to only work sporadically. Yesterday it worked, then it didn't. Then I re-did it this morning, it worked. Then it suddenly stopped working.

So my question is, what's causing this? it seems if I get it working, then exit the game and go back, it stops detecting the projectiles.

So my question is, what's causing this? And how can I get it to continue working on a permenant basis?

The pertinant AI is thus.

Well, since I designed it, you could check these things:

- Be sure to have the AI script goals working, 1 to start tthe detection, 2 to stop it.
(I think that's it.)

- Have your trigger on.

TIP: Make a blank template and then experiment with it, until you know exactly how it works. Then adapting it in your scenario will be much easier.

Bendak, I copy pasted the projectile detection thing from URPGAI into a new AI, and released it at AoKH. I did give you all the credit though.

I hope that's ok...

I think I just solved the problem.

Before, I had two computer players that had Ultimate RPG AI. Then i got rid of it, it worked. I added the player, it stopped working.

So appearantly, you can't have two at the same time...

Dunno. Although I would think that you gave the wrong AI signals, your problem looked like that. I think two URPGAI's can work niceley without having problems, or it would be bugs in SWGB.

My name changing does not work, everytime i try to change a name, it is not activated, I click on the go to object but nothing happens, any suggestions?

How do you make it so your trigger will spawn units at a certain point and keep spawning every say, 5 seconds until you destroy a certain building?

Condition: Timer: 10 (If you're playing on fast speed)
Effect: Create Object: Which ever and set the location.

Trigger 2:
Condition: Object Destroyed : Set the building
Effect: Deactivate Trigger: Trigger 1

I need help with knowing why I can't change any unit/building name. I tried the trigger, but nothing works, I think it maybe something wrong with my game, or a scratch on it or something.

AI stands for Artificial Intelligence. It's the name for the computer player you play against in any video game, which is programmed by humans and told what to do in different situations. For example, if the computer attacks units you sent into his base, that's called AI.

What I want to know is that if I make holes in the ship (starfield) is there anyway make it so that if you get the jetpack ypu can "fly" over the holes? If so, can there be a trigger that makes it so after 5 "jetpack jumps" you run out of fuel?

Ok. So how do you get these AI triggers people are always talking about?

For example, the Immobile Units trigger.

That's not a trigger, it's just a whole AI. You can download it here in the AI section. AI trigger's are used to activate a small part inside the AI. It's used only in AI's such as the Ultimate RPG AI.

I have a question about the scenario i'm working on. I want to
make it so that when my hero gets to a certain part there is a
conversation. He changes to my ally. Plus I use map revealers making it so that he can't move during the conversation. The problem is that when I test it. It says i'm defeated, even though I have an undeafeatable object for player1.

There can be various problems that can create sucha crash. Check all your triggers.

You're probably changing all of Player 1 to your ally. What you need to do is, for the best result, delete the changing effect and redo it.

You haven't select which unit you want to change ownership to your ally so the computer change all your units.(including your undefeatable object)Be sure you have selected your hero in the change-ownership trigger.
