The Scenario Design Help Thread

Greetings, fellow Scenario Designers. I'm just letting you know that the Help Thread has been emptied so that you won't have to shuffle through 25 pages of questions and answers before you ask your questions. Instead, take a look at the Scenario Design Page that Angel AoErat has provided and already posted for us in his other thread, and take a look at everything there is to know about Scenario Design before asking any questions.

Well, I'll think about it. I'll be releasing my first scenario in a matter of days. Then you will have an idea of what you may be getting. But my question still remains unanswered. My bitmap was blown up huge when it was displayed. What can I do to change this?

OK, BobaFett. You're most likely to answer first, so... How can I change a scenario file or a campaign file into an .sc1 or .cp1 file?
EDIT: I don't have Clone Campaigns. Might that be the answer?

I have been working on a scenario for a long time. I made one of the players have the AI called IMMOBILE. But now every time I try to load the scenario the game crashes. If I change the player back to standard AI I think it will work. Just one problem: I CAN'T LOAD THE SCENARIO! Can you see my frustration?

Use the Age Of Kings campaign manager that is included in Admiral Ra's design kit (Look in the utilities section)

Hey, i know that this is probably in here somewhere, but i'm lazy. How can you make it to where when you dont have any units you not loose, or is it that you have a unit that doesnt revel any spots? And one more thing, does anyone here get an error when you play a game about something missing or something?? It happens when you put the AI on standard?? something about a speeder_bike thing???? help?

CmdrCamp, Place an undefeatable object for each player on the map.Thanks, Mace. I have a question about disabling units. For some reason, I cannot disable a Fortress, Command Center, or a Shield Generator. I've tried about everything, but I could not figure it out. If I can figure it out, then I can release my scenario!

Does anybody know how to disable a Command Center, Shield Generator, or a Fortress?

Go to the options tab in the scenario editor and go to 'Disable Buildings' then move the buildings you want to disable over to the disabled column (hope that helped/mede sense :P)

is it possible to task a unit to guard another? you can have 'patrol' in the effects list, but i cant seem to find anything that resembles a 'guard' function. My problem is that i want to make 4 of my allies units act as a bodyguard towards one of my units, but i cant figure out how.

if you already have them on the disabled column, then make sure that youve disabled them for the right players (i.e check if you have set these disabled buildings to player ones column, not one of the computers. hope that helps

I do have them disabled for the right players... Can someone else fire up the editor and try this? I don't think it is possible.

Hey Boba, i cant answer your question, but i know it can be done. Ask Echuu, he's done it in one of his missions.
And Neo, all i can say is that you are screwed.

Unfortunatly, the advanced command buttons are not available as trigger options for AI controlled players. The best you can do is use the trigger to follow the unit, but use a 3 to 4 second timer, so they attack in between the walking.
