Greetings, fellow Scenario Designers. I'm just letting you know that the Help Thread has been emptied so that you won't have to shuffle through 25 pages of questions and answers before you ask your questions. Hey guys. Um sorry about asking this question but... How do you get map revealer 8 units to show up when you are playing the scenario like the ones used in all those Rpg campaigns where you have to step on them and it opens up a door.
I know how to work the trigger but I can't get the actual 8 marker to show up. Any help would be much appreciated.

Under the units menu, click on Other, then scroll down and click on Ultimate Map Revealer. This will give you the 8 symbol on the ground.

Hi, sorry to be rude, but can anybody please answer my question? It's been here for a while, and nobody's responded to it. Here it is:

"Hi, another question: how come if I'm using AI files, (for computer opponents/players) when I have no units except for an undefeatable object, it says I'm defeated? It was in an RPG, and when your character changed ownership for the cutscene, I was defeated. How come this happens? Thanks..."

He guys I need to know this: Why do some units 'walk' at their place? I use Immobile AI Gold, maybe it has something to do with that?
This is really annoying because NPC don't respond to Task Object. Please help!

Thanks General Grevious for anserwing but what I really needed to know was how to make the '8' visiable during the test and when playing the scenario normally.If you know how it would be appreciated if you could anserw.

Arine Fett: Did you specify the unit that was changing ownership? If not the change ownership trigger would have changed ALL your units on the map, inculding undefeatable objects. Simply select the unit you wish to change ownership otherwise the above will happen. If it still continues create a trigger activate by the change ownership trigg with no cond,that creates a undefeatable object.Either suggestion should fix it.

Gamer Hl: As far as I know there is no know way to fix this, but it comes a as a bug from a task unit trigger. The only way I've managed to get rid of it myself is re-do all triggers. Sorry I can't help anymore.

Hello, I am making a Super new scnerio. (name and info is top secret)
but I got stuck with this.

How do you create an HP amd attack increaser and decreaser?
That has an on and off switch??? and ifpossible that plaeyers need to pay a tribute (or fine) to use it.

i ALSO NEED to know how to create a unit converter that anlso has a switch and can also possibly work only if a tribute (or fine) is payed?

Finally, How do you make a killing trigger when once anctivated by aswitch, there can be acount down that says like 10, 9 ,8 etc??? also that kills evryhting exept a sertain place that can be used as a hideout and it will work????

-To change unit HP, use triggers (effect Change unit HP).
To lower the HP, copy paste a - from somewhere else and type in your intiger. You cannot use Ctrl-c or Ctrl-v and if you go back to the effect it will change back to zero.The same thing goes to attack & damage object.

To make a priced switch
~~Conditions~~
Condition 1 acculmate attribute (thing you want them to pay e.g carbon) player1 (amount of recource has to be at least the amount that the player is paying)

Condition 2 any thing you like

~~Effects~~

Effect 1 tribute player1 to gaia carbon 1
Effect 2 Change object HP - e.g 100

The converter

Condition1 Acculmate attribute carbon 1
Effect1 Tribute player1 to gaia 1 carbon
Effect2 Change ownership

How can I make a trigger which will be allowed to kill unit by trash compactors - something like in FFF by James Martingo. To be more precise, I've made triggers which create mechanism of trash compactor, but I can't make the killing trigger by Trash Compactor . Please for help.

Dawidos: Set up a trigger that has condition xx sec. then have the effect, kill objects in area. xx should be how long it takes the compactor to close.

Question: How do you make objectives in the objectives menu crossed off once finishing them? I have looked everywhere and can't find an answer.

You don't have to do anything. Once the trigger with the objective triggers, the objective will be automatically striped out.

Tick the box that says 'Display as Objective,' and type a message in the 'Trigger Description' box. Once the condition(s) of the trigger have been met, the message will be crossed off and the 'Objectives have changed' message will flash.

You open a trigger where it says like "starting state" or "loop trigger"Above is another buton click on it. then type the objective in the box next to it. Now if the objective is find the base or something, then, of the trigger that you have selected has a condition of obj in area and the area is the base you are looking for when you find the base it will be crossed off.

Dawidos: Sorry, my keyboard was messed up at the time. Now, you made the triggers to make the compactors, right? Well, say that every five seconds the walls a little. And after four times, the compactor will be completly closed. So, when the walls first close, activate Compactor Trigger

Effect: Kill objects Area: In The trash Compactor

Now, you could have it looping if you're going to open up the compactor again. I hope this works.

I am wondering, how would you write an AI so that if you taunted the number 2, it would kill a certain unit in the game?
Example: You are a jedi in a campaign. You are in a city, and if you walk up to a person and type 2, it will kill them. (Death by lightsaber) THe guards would then attack of course.
I would have the two conditions be: Bring object to object, and then the name of the condition where you have to type the taunt 2.
I read James Martigo's guide on how to do the healing AI, but how would you do that with killing people?

Just change the 'Health Pack Trigger' and replace the 'Heal Hero Trigger' with your kill trigger.

Yes, copy and paste a minus sign in the box. Don't touch the trigger again or the number will be reset to 0.

This may sound dumb, but here goes: What are all the generic units that you could use in a large army? Like, I've got (N) Troopers, (R) Hanoon Soldiers (kinda generic) Reytha soldiers (maybe) and that's it. Are there any more? Again, I know this is dumb but hey... plus, are there any generic droid armies? I can only think of an army of IG-88s thanks...

For human armies, I'd use Rebel Troopers and Krant Troopers in addition to the ones you've already mentioned.

For droid armies, I'd suggest you use Confederacy Troopers and Mechs, Trade Federation Troopers and Mechs, Droidekas, some IG-88's and Republic Mechs.
