The Scenario Design Help Thread

Greetings, fellow Scenario Designers. I'm just letting you know that the Help Thread has been emptied so that you won't have to shuffle through 25 pages of questions and answers before you ask your questions. Instead, take a look at the Scenario Design Page that Angel AoErat has provided and already posted for us in his other thread, and take a look at everything there is to know about Scenario Design before asking any questions.

The easiest way is to create a bridge on elevated land and then remove it again. It will leave behind the shallow water that the bridge creates, but it will also be walkable.

There is another way, which allows you to have non-walkable water of any depth. Let me go and dig it up for you...

Know what you're a bunch of bull shit, seriously you just went off topic and some profanity. Anyways, we always go off topic, it's the way we live you moron.

1. This forum helps, as yyou can see there is 514 posts, and that means it rocksors.

2. You spam, and this is already made, and you try to make your own which is really not cool.

3.Your thread was closed but you make three new ones about the same thing.

If I was a mod I would of cranked out my whip on you and warned you for spamming.

Anyways, I have a question.

Okay, on NG there is the crashing bug, right when it opens up, so could it be a trigger I forgot to deactivate or the first trigger?

Arnie, this will be included in my next guide, but here it is.

It is good, but try making a taunt trigger for the enter one, let's say you use Immobile taunt AI, and you set it to AI player that you want to have it. Okay, so the triggers would look like this:
Name: Enter
Condition: Select Object
Condition: Bring Object to Area X
Condition: Player X accummilates 10 nova.
Effect: Snap veiw to point X.
Effect: Change ownership (old unit)
Effect: Change ownership (new unit in building)
Effect: Activate Exit
Effect: Deactivate: This trigger

Name: Exit
Condition: Bring object to Area Y
Effect snap veiw to point Y
Effect Change Ownership (old unit to yours)
Effect: Change owner ship (new unit to AI player.)
Effect: Activate Enter
Effect: Deactivate Exit.

There you have it, point X means the flag, and point y means the gate. Hope I helped!

Thanks, and I know, the "getting lost in flames" thing was meant to be a joke. I've started this, I've got a cut-scene, and I've got the hi-jack mech trigger working, you can get a car. Also, I don't quite understand what the accumulating nova thing is about, I'm no AI expert. Please explain? Thanks.

It's no problem if you use the trick you saw in another campaign. A lot of tricks have already been used, so it would be a little bit hard to make a campaign with new tricks and features only.

OK, thanks... since I've just started, it wouldn't be too late to change: should I make it like an RPG, with loads of buildings, or a single-unit level, like SOTE? Or both, like an RPG, but with Boss Puzzles?

Well, the AI Immobile Taunt reads the taunt 56 and adds nova to the AI player, so when the AI player accumilates the amount it activates. Understand? Well I hoped I helped.

There are copyrights on the music, but I saw music in other campaigns. How do I know if I may use music from other games??

So

a) Add copyrights in the Readme file
b) Write who are authors of these files
c) Write in which camapaign this sound/music files were used.

That's all I think. I'll do that in my campaign.

Hi, another question: how come if I'm using AI files, (for computer opponents/players) when I have no units except for an undefeatable object, it says I'm defeated? It was in an RPG, and when your character changed ownership for the cutscene, I was defeated. How come this happens? Thanks...

Hey, guys, I need a quick response. For my Vader:RotDL Campaign, I need a transport and a TIE Advanced X1 to land. Questions:

1.How do I get the TIE to follow the transport?

2.Is there anyway to put a map revealer on clouds?

Step 1) Create a trigger with Loop: ON.

Step 2) Create a Task object effect. The Object: TIE Advanced X1. The Location: Transport.

And that should keep the TIE following the transport for as long as you like. When you want to stop it just make a deactivate trigger effect.
