I'm not sure of the purpose of this thread, but I do have one question; Does the website aiscripters.com still work? I went there and nothing was there.
Absolutely, should bring you to a page with "forums" as a hyperlink. Then you need to register.

Is it possible to make the AI actually garrison troops in its turrets and fortresses? Not a request exactly, just a curiosity.

Not through normal AI scripting methods. The game files itself would have to be changed. Good question though, it'd make AI a lot more powerful if they could throw bio units in there to be healed or to make that fortress spit out +10 extra projectiles.

I didn't even know that the AI couldn't do that. Makes them a bit weak at defending, doesn't it?

You know, if you can provide some great AI scripts for RPG-style gameplay, I might request or commission you for a few, since it involves a project I probably can't touch until a few years from now (at least 2-3).
It's very Role-Playing centered in gameplay, but it also requires a bucket list of mods and so many other things.

"I didn't even know that the AI couldn't do that. Makes them a bit weak at defending, doesn't it? " -> Yes, the AI is quite limited to what it can do compared to a human player. Its biggest strength is it's ability to manage it's economy at the same time it's doing other things and it's ability to micro individually any and all ranged units to make sure they're firing at their maximum range - and to dodge any slow fire like grenades or artillery fire.

Oh, so the AI itself is strong in micromanagement. That's not too bad actually. This could prove to be useful in certain conditions and being able to manage the economy at the same time it is functionally completing other tasks is also not a bad trait. There are a lot of AI that can't do that efficiently.
No Keeno, only in that specific circumstance is their unit micro very good. Otherwise, it's horrible. I could write up a few pages of why and how the AI micro is bad. It's Macro (economy management and going back and forth) is what is strong.
