Few days ago, i downloaded a playable beta and unfortunelly...
I very impressed! But unfortunelly, i played on Windows XP Professional, and got several crashes while i playing Wookies. I hope you can fix that guys.
Otherwise.
Is there any chances, you can add a Galactic Empire Remnants faction? I mean that ones, what are in Jedi Knight series. I would love see Shadowtroopers, Swamptroopers or Reborns in action!

I played every faction avalible in Galactic Empire.
Stormtrooper Corps.
Not much changes.
Mech Division.
Now if we want create AT-ST we must buy upgrade from AT-AR.
Also mentioned transports are added.
Imperial Navy.
Don't see any updates here.
Support.
Not sure, but Royal and Shadow Guards are little stronger, because when i played, they easily defeat jedi / sith in solo fight.
In previous beta, i don't see Shadow Stormtroopers in Fortress. Now they are avalible. Unfortunelly they are avalible for every faction, if we deciede play using All Techs option for every faction.

Oh, I remember these... particularly Yavin, I had a massive land battle there, years ago. Landed some AT-ATs, medium tanks, deployed my infantry, and sat there murdering those weak rebel tanks for half an hour. Not even slightly interesting. EaW had awful land combat, and you couldn't ignore it in galactic mode (auto-resolve sucks). It's beaten in land warfare by a 10+ year old Age of Empires clone. And not a single mod will ever fix that.
But these maps do look awesome, they have the perfect combination of eye candy and useful resources.

Hey Dallows! I haven't been to heavengames in probably a year and after I woke up this morning I was thinking how swgb is one of the best rts games in a lot of ways. I literally came here to start a project thread to code a new version of swgb in HTML5. Obviously I was extremely pleased to see someone had the same idea a year ago and has been actively developing it!!
In terms of the map engine and resource economy, I haven't played an rts that competes with gb. SC2's economy in comparison is infantile and feels more like a mechanical formula than a creative element in the game to be capitalized on.
There are some problems with gb though that I see is a main focus for your project. Namely civilization differences. This was the only gripe I had with this game. How sick would it be if all 8 civs were markedly different in strengths and weaknesses and each allowed for wild variations in play style and creativity? This is what excites me in an rts game. This is what prompted me to come on here and start a thread to code a new overhaul of this great game.
I think this whole project is full of awesomeness and I'd love to help out in whatever way I can. I've played swgb since the first day CC came out and I was a high-inter RM player mostly. I know this game inside and out. It's one of my favorite games of all time (which I'm sure isn't too uncommon for members of this board).
Obviously you're looking for 2D animators and map designers - I can probably throw some stuff your way with that. I'm by no means an expert in either of those fields but I played around with map scripting a couple years ago and I'm decent in photoshop. I also do sound design so if you guys have a need for sound effects I'd love to help with that as well. But where I really feel I could add a lot of value is in the core game mechanics and civ balancing. This is what makes me get all shaky and excited when I think about it. Do you think I could get a file with the full tech trees of all the new sub-factions you guys created?
I want to get fully up to speed with where you guys are at. I wish I'd known about this sooner!! I'll be testing out the beta and giving you any feedback. It's seriously awesome to see people making this idea real!!!
