The Scenario Design Help Thread

Greetings, fellow Scenario Designers. I'm just letting you know that the Help Thread has been emptied so that you won't have to shuffle through 25 pages of questions and answers before you ask your questions. Instead, take a look at the Scenario Design Page that Angel AoErat has provided and already posted for us in his other thread, and take a look at everything there is to know about Scenario Design before asking any questions.

It's not a trigger. It's in the trigger main menu, where you can configure name, loop and starting state settings. Set the 'Display as Objective' switch to 'Yes' and write the text for the objective in the 'Trigger Description' box.

Uh... what are you talking about? I know how to use ITs. But AA won't attack them. So I'm asking how to make AA attack it. Not how to use ITs. Please read the question before you say something.

I'm not telling you how to use ITs. I'm telling you that if that's what you did, then the unit should attack it. Please read the answer before you say something.

Obviously I have tried that. I know how to use ITs, but AA units will not attack them. I am asking how to make AA units attack thin air. Did you even try that idea with an AA unit?

Hey, I installed the mod allunits by mace and i removed it later, now some units are still renamed, is there anyway to change it back or can i download the original name file around somewhere without reinstalling star wars galactic battlegrounds game????

okay, i'm relatively new at the scenario making... so pardon my complete stupidity and my lack of time to search the previous 14 or so pages of this thread...
anyway, here we go. if i want to make a unit, that's gaia i guess, but i dont want anyone to have control over it until a certain time, do i simply set a timer and a condition for that unit's possession and it'll just sit there until those conditions are met? so this way, say a plane flies over my unit, that still wont change the ownership of it.

is it that simple?

I think that with that, you need a looping trigger that changes ownership to gaia until you turn off that trigger. Or you could use an ally player for the unit(s) and then set a change ownership trigger at the time you need it.

I think you could make it so that it changes a gaia unit over to gaia (that should keep it gaia) and have it change to whatever player it's going to when the condition is met.

Em, of all the stupid questions...
Just use an "objects in area" or "bring object to area" with the area as the square with the ultimate map revealer on. Then make desired effects.

Bring object to area is where you set an object and set an area, so you set the area as right of the revealer. Let's say you want it to unlock a gate, so you have that then you have it where you set the unlock trigger and set the gate. Simple.

Bendak, use freewebs, geocities, or go to www.spikehost.net,it takes time to wait but its worth it.

I have a strange graphics problem, I moved my monitor in and I pushed my CPU a bit and suddenly the screen turned purple.. .. .. .. any ideas?

In your healing ai and template I have it all working except I copy the - sign but when i go to the other part to paste it, the program won't allow me to paste it have you any sollutions to my problem?

You have to right click and select "paste" to paste it, ctrl + V does not work.

OK, now guys, how can I erase the ugly lines surrounding a unit? I mean, so they look like they stay "hidden" behind a building... I did it before but yeah, I forgot.

Darth Fett, if your refering to the shadows of the empire campain. Tevious placed the units he wanted to die in the flood in a different place on the map that looked the same except for the terrain and the troopers to simulate flooding

Right, I have another problem. I have a Wookiee worker, in a cutscene. When I task it the first time, it goes fine. Then, it starts going its own way. It passes through an area where it gets tasked in another direction, but it just turns for a split second, then goes on again. I've looked at all the triggers, and there are no looping triggers that would cause it to keep going, or tasks that go to the other side of the screen. A worker is really necessary for the cutscene, not that Wookiee hero. (Since when do Wookiee slaves go about with guns? ) Please help.
