The Scenario Design Help Thread

Greetings, fellow Scenario Designers. I'm just letting you know that the Help Thread has been emptied so that you won't have to shuffle through 25 pages of questions and answers before you ask your questions. Instead, take a look at the Scenario Design Page that Angel AoErat has provided and already posted for us in his other thread, and take a look at everything there is to know about Scenario Design before asking any questions.

I'm trying to put a Death Star into my scenario. I have the "All Units" template thing, but when I map copy the Death Star (player 8) to my scenario (where it will be player 1), I cannot see it, and I certainly do not own it. HELP PLEASE.

Download the SCN editor mod with all units. You don't have to map copy him.

It'll be that bug where you can't task units. Nothing you can do, I think.

Bendak, you're using a taunt-based AI system, right? Then your only solution is mentioned in this thread.

OK, I think I know, there is a Holocron near him. Thanks Sidious.

But does that bug only appears if I use taunt-AI's?? What does that AI have to do with it?

Bendak-
I don't want to replace any of my units. Won't the SCN All Units Mod do that, or am I crazy?

Does anyone else know how to map copy the Death Star to my player?

The is an utility I believe in the Utility section that has the star destroyer and death star to copy, but I might be wrong. The all units mod, I downloaded recently, I haven't got a chance to try it out but I think it adds the units that don't appear in the scn editor there.

I got another problem (of course)
It has to do with making units do things.

actually 2 probs

1. I had Mace Windu as a unit. I had Immobile AI Gold. He still moved. (and yes his ai was set for immobile)

2. Darth vader is in a small pathway, ruffly two person units think. He won't patrol or move.

I have no clue why my game keeps doin this crap

Well, no, but I only use the units mentioned in that thread as taunt-activated healthpacks.

I have the All-units mod installed but how can I delete those objects such as lasers? Simply using delete-object doesn't work.

Improvise. Use map copy to copy a clear place on the map and then simply paste over the laser or effect.

Hey I've got another question. I'm making a Force Heal but it repeats even when I checked everything. If I use taunt 18 just 1 time, it loops 3 times.

Hey, I installed the mod all units and i removed it later now some units are still renamed is there anyway to change it back or can i download the original name file around somewhere with reinstalling star wars galactic battle grounds

Bendak, don't have the healing effects in that trigger. Have a seperate healing trigger, with the healing effects, be activated when you Accumulate those resources. If you experience further trouble seek my Healing Trigger Template in the utilities section.

Ok, but why? I see no way why the healing effect can't be in the same trigger .

EDIT: Jedi Guardian; the only thing what you did is change the amount of nova needed and the amount of nova tributed to Gaia. I see no way that could help me .

I having truble because I making gall space port and when I
say test the game has fastbike error i say ok and game stops
what should i do?

Fastbike error disables the standard AI. You get it if you install a mod wich changes the genie. Your best bet is reinstalling all mods.

Hey, can anybody explain how the Own Fewer Objects trigger works? Is the number you put how many less, or how many left?

I am not exaclty sure, but I think it means if the player has more than the number you enter.

Actually, say you have one unit, you put the unit counter at one and if that unit dies, you own fewer objects than one and it activates the effect/s.

ArnieFett, I simply made a new player, made that player and enemy to the unit's player, and then made the invisible target a unit under the enemy.
Therefore, the unit will attack the IT like it was an enemy.
