The Scenario Design Help Thread

Greetings, fellow Scenario Designers. I'm just letting you know that the Help Thread has been emptied so that you won't have to shuffle through 25 pages of questions and answers before you ask your questions. Instead, take a look at the Scenario Design Page that Angel AoErat has provided and already posted for us in his other thread, and take a look at everything there is to know about Scenario Design before asking any questions.

Happy Designing.

How do you change the color of your text in display instructions? I tried the trigger help on the site, but it didn't explain it well enough.

When you use the display instructions, put these different colours in front of your text:
<BLUE>
<RED>
<GRAY>
<GREEN>
<CYAN>
<PURPLE>

That's all I can think of for now.

Noooooo.... its stupid so its "<AQUA>" not "<CYAN>" even though CYAN would be logical since its a player colour like all the others.

Oh right. Silly me... I don't really use cyan as a text colour very often.

Green is the default colour isn't it? So <GREEN> would be pretty redundant

Devious: I don't know but my only advice is simply trying it out. That's the answer to most questions....

If I retire to logical thinking, the answer is no.

Okay, I really need some help (Preferrably from soneone like Astro, Bendak, Xcal or Tevious).

What I really need to know is how to make a certain force power for my cpn, the Jedi Ideals. Basically, what I want to do is:
Player 1 uses taunt 3, force rage is activated. This increases player 1's attack by 15. Then, after 20 seconds, the force rage wears off and the attack goes back to normal.

The last guy who answered this question got it wrong. (I tried it, and it didn't work.)

Just make a trigger with change attack -15 . Take exactly -15 because if you take -16 or lower, your attack will always be 1.

Text colors: (Yellow is default)

<ORANGE>
<PURPLE>
<AQUA>

Those are all the colors that you can use.

Sometimes the Editor refuses to select objects. Try coming out of the editor and going back in again, that usually works for me.

OK - I need to know *fast* how to make the map black again. I never knew it and I don't have time to research it so how's it done?

Bendak - Its a trick with the alliance of Player 1 and another player. Player 1 has to be Tech Level 4 for this to work, I think, though. It goes like this:

Player 2 (or which ever player) is ally to Player 1
Player 1 is Neutral to Player 2

When you want the scene to start, you ally Player 1 to Player 2 as friend and then Player 1 will see what Player 2 sees. When the scene is over, simply change Player 1's stance back to neutral, and the screen will be completely black.

Whoa.

I asked TVS, it's done with Holonet Tranciever - so you basically see what your ally sees and if you turn enemy on him, ýou can't see those things anymore.

EoD is right.And don't forget : You must have the "Holonet Tranceiver" Technology researched.

EDIT :I was writing this before Bendak posted :P...

I have an idea....

Holonet Tranceiver can be activated through triggers, something I didn't realize until today. But unfortunately, you still have to use the 'Neutral' alliance thing to disable it.

No, but you can make the attack 1, by adding a Change Object Attack trigger with value -1000 or summin.
