To note, this is not a question. It is something I learnt after a whole hour of inability to understand what is going on.
In the mod Expanding Fronts there is an effect calledchange unit data with which you can change various units' properties, including standing, walking, attacking and dying graphics. What I learnt was this: currently, you can change the graphics only of units belonging to a player with their own faction.
Example:
Player 1 is theGalactic Empire and player 2 is Gungans. Under the sign of player 1 you add 1 Darth Vader, who is an Imperial unit. If you try to change his graphics, you will succeed. If under the sign of player 2 you add 1 Jar Jar, who is a gungan unit, and try to change his graphics, you will succeed.
However, if for some reason you want to add Darth Vader (an Imperial unit) under the sign of player 2 (Gungans) and change his graphics, you won't succeed - Darth Vader will now be a player 2's unit, but will not have changed graphics. Same with Jar Jar. If you want to add the gungan unit Jar Jar under the sign of player 1 (Galactic Empire) with changed graphics, Jar Jar will indeed be under player 1's control, but will not have changed graphics.
In order to add an unit under the control of a player from a different faction and still change its (the unit's) graphics, do the following:
- With Darth Vader: put Darth Vader (Imperial unit) under the sign of player 1 (Galactic Empire) and change his graphics however you need them to be. Then switch Darth Vader's ownership to player 2.
- With Jar Jar: put Jar Jar thegungan under the sign of player 2 (Gungans), change his graphics and then switch his ownership to player 1.
How the hell did you even do that in less than 5 seconds, Lad?!
