Thanks to Angel Park, a news update on the server move is available.
"Well, Chooch already posted a little about this, but due to recent news, I think I should stress it more. HG is currently moving everything from our old server to our new one. Hopefully it'll give less blackouts during peak times. Most important though is that is very possible that the fansites, forums, and whatever HG related could go down during the move. Not exactly sure how long this will take or what real impact it'll have, but really sorry if anything does go wrong. Our two HG techs. are working as hard as they can to make sure the website doesn't fall.
Either way, we'll be back if anything does go wrong. It isn't that we just ran away or anything "
Here's a small newsflash to remind you that the Downloads Section will be out of service for at least part of today for maintenance reasons.
We hope to get it back up shortly.
Garry Gaber left a post in our forums this Friday saying that LucasArts is currently working on the zone problems that are troubling people who play there. He gave a zone name, I really don’t know if he will be using it often, but I think so as he gave hints that he likes to see what is happening with the zone and to play occasional games with players.
First and foremost, a most heartfelt thanks to all of you who are making Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds the phenomenal success that it is! It is because of you, the players of this game, that we made the original game and the expansion pack, Clone Campaigns, and it is very gratifying to know that you are all enjoying it so much.
I want to share an observation with the players who play this game on the Microsoft Gaming Zone. I've been regularly visiting the zone as Jedi_Gaber (yes, it really is me) during my vacation from LucasArts - playing the game and observing the situation on the Zone. One situation that I've seen, that we all need to work together to correct, is that Deathmatch and Custom Scenario players are playing in the Random Map rooms…
He continues here and stresses further what problems CS players are causing when they do not play in the proper room.
The CC patch is out now from Lucas Arts. It corrects the issue that causes the drive to be unable to read the disc to play the game from any CD drive when multiple CD-ROM ect…, enables hotkeys that were not working properly, and an issue with the 'Blind Random' location setting with various other minor gameplay issues.
Download it here.
After a little over seven hundred votes on the old poll, it is time to retire it and replace it with a new question.
“Download Section Updates (Official Review System)” won with 34.2% of the votes and “Scenario Design Articles” followed up with a 26.3% of the votes. The new question is “If there was a CC contest or ladder, would you participate?”
Thanks to Wyrm Assassin for bringing this thought up. So take time to vote and voice your opinion.

Just found out about a Zone tourney from MFO, so be sure to be ready to get into the action. It is for Battlegrounds, not Clone Campaigns so so pull out the old CD and crank out a few games.
You can sign up for this Zone Tourney, here
Our new poll asks some important questions on how we can further improve this website. The question asked is: "For SWGBH, what do you think we need to focus more on?"
Take the time to stop by a leave your opinion on the poll!
I was surfing the web when I noticed this little tibit.
GB.com has learnt that Clone Campaigns will be getting a patch. As to what it is fixing, I can't tell you yet. Not allowed.
The patch is due for release sometime this week (hopefully Wednesday). Naturally, I will make it available for download from our site.
Since Wednesday is pretty much over, this is a moot point, look forward to more information!
Ah yes, flood waters submerging highways and constant rain down here in San Antonio. Tons of fun I assure you. Well enough of me, more about the site. Some of you might have noticed a new look to the site, no news section and a cannot display page. The good news is that we got past this and have not seemed to have driven off people visiting our site except for the day when the website was down for almost all the day and only six people were able to view the site and register as hits.
The downloads are back up and you can go back to submitting, reviewing, and downloading games, utilities and modpacks :)
