Well good news folks. Thanks to Spineman, we now have way to tell the difference between a SWGB file and a CC one. Now that we don’t have to worry about telling the difference, we download for that game we have. For SWGB, just SWGB - for CC, both CC and SWGB.
Yep, another trip to Starwars.com, while I was there I found some interesting information.
There is unrest in the Galactic Senate. Several thousand solar systems have declared their intentions to leave the Republic. This Separatist movement, under the leadership of the mysterious Count Dooku, has made it difficult for the limited number of Jedi Knights to maintain peace and order in the galaxy. Here is a look at those behind the Separatist movement and their dark agendas.
It was a great blow to the Jedi order when Count Dooku voluntarily renounced his commission. A strong-minded man, Dooku's ideas were often out of step with those of the Jedi Council, despite the fact that his former mentor, Yoda, held a lofty position in that governing body. His challenging views were often echoed by his former Padawan, Qui-Gon Jinn, another Jedi who would on occasion defy the Council…
Helping control the incredible amounts of credits, dataries, and other forms of currency flowing through the galaxy is the InterGalactic Banking Clan. This business entity allied itself with the growing Separatist movement in the galaxy, and the IBC Chairman San Hill personally committed his forces to the Confederacy of Independent Systems -- in a non-exclusive pact, of course. The IBC profited from both ends of the war, serving the Republic and the Separatists.
Find out more information on the Confederacy click here.
Great stuff, I was surfing the net and noticed an outline of AOT:C. I stopped by and decided to post a little info on this cool subject.
It is ten years since the events of The Phantom Menace, and things have definitely become worse in the galaxy. After years of decay and corruption, the Galactic Republic is beginning to fragment as displeased constituents are flocking to a growing Separatist movement led by the mysterious Count Dooku. It is all the beleaguered Jedi Knights can do to maintain peace and order in the galaxy. For the first time in centuries, Senators are seriously considering raising an Army of the Republic to guard against the increasing threats of the Separatists. Some believe such an action will only invite war…
You can find the rest of the outline here.

Just seen Attack of the Clones? Got opinions? Ideas? General thoughts and critiques of the movie? Hop on over to the SWGBH Official AoTC Thread!
Keep in mind, this thread may typically contain inside information about the movie, and therefore it might spoil the movie if you have not seen it.
For those people wishing to include a Star Destroyer, Death Star, or Tantive VI in their scenarios, Enrique Orduno has taken time to assemble a working template to hold these units. You can get it here at SCN Punk or view his post in our forums here.
Great news people, recently a forumer has found three new cheats that can be used in the new expansion for SWGB. There is the new “Star Destroyer that you can activate by typing in “Imperial Entanglements” into your chat along with two others that you can view here.
Along with this stunning new news, we have a good review that recently came out. He gave it an “8” out of ten rating.
Lucas Arts seems to be living in good times as of late. With the recent releases of Jedi Outcast and Galactic Battlegrounds, they have managed to breathe new life in a franchise that has seemed to live on in one generation after another. With Episode II: Attack of the Clones, the timing could not have been more perfect for Lucas Arts to release an expansion to Galactic Battlegrounds that will allow many of the units from the movie to be in a game…
You can find the rest of this fairly good review here.
Great news for those who don’t have the CC yet. James Martigo, a forumer in SWGBH’s forums has released some new heroes you can expect to find in the new expansion.
Here are some tidbits:
Anakin Skywalker (Episode II)
C-3PO (Episode II)
You can find the rest here…
He also took the time to take some screenshots of these new units and publish them.
Great work James!
I know, it's not SWGB, but it does concern a very sizeable portion of us. I managed to find a decent review for AoT:C here. He wrote it pretty well and made me practically hate the other people who have no sense of imagination.
Recipe for a May blockbuster: teen misfit falls in love, disobeys a sympathetic father figure, battles monsters and stumbles toward a complicated manhood. We doubt that the Spider-Man people swapped script notes with George Lucas and his Star Wars: Episode II — Attack of the Clones team; still, the similarities are striking. So, probably, are the eventual box-office numbers...
I realize this will get me killed and maybe hated for the rest of my
life, but it appears that I will be getting the CC Expansion a few
days before everyone else :)
I just wanted to give you a heads up that we have a Fed Ex package going outto you today that should arrive tomorrow. This contains your prizes for being a Grand Prize Winner!
We hope you enjoy these prizes and appreciate all your efforts in ourcontest!
Logan/Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Product Manager.
"Tis the season of glad tidings…"
No it’s not Christmas, but just as good as a time. For those who don’t know, the CC has gone gold and their website has officially released the news.
LucasArts Entertainment Company LLC is pleased to announce that Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds: Clone Campaigns has gone gold and is expected in stores the week of May 13th. You can pre-order your copy today at The Company Store!
Great news viewers of SWGBH. Recently LucasArts has submitted the scenarios that won first prize on to their Download Section. One of the more notable authors is Joshua, or known as Yehoshua Yisra’el, a cherub that is posting this news that submitted Escape From Hoth. I encourage you to download these and play the award winning scenarios from these excellent authors! Some of the following authors who won this contest are, Christopher Freling, Jeffrey Michael Reale, and Antonio Cusano!
Two great new previews have appeared from Game Spot and Gamespy.
If all LucasArts was adding to the game was two new factions, that alone would be reason enough to pick up the expansion. But that's not all. The expansion will also include updates to all the pre-existing civilizations, including new units and technologies. Balance tweaks to existing units have also been added; in general, the design team took the opportunity to fix any problems in the original game raised by fans…
The hype machine for Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones is purposefully stuck in low gear. Unlike the bombastic, multi-tiered marketing approach employed by The Phantom Menace back in 1999, this film is favoring a stealthy, serious approach…
Thanks to Sir William of Pork he has brought to my attention that games domain.com has released their chat transcript from the chat they had with Garry Gaber.
Garry Gaber, creator and director of Age of Empires-powered RTS, Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds, spared some time to chat with our readers on Tuesday, April 30 about his new expansion. Check out the transcript for all the latest details. Galactic Battlegrounds: Clone Campaigns is due for worldwide release on May 13. Keep checking back with the site for more opportunities to chat live with the designers behind the games.
He goes over a few things we know about CC, but goes further into detail and tells some important information. The Clone Campaigns will be out at least five days before the release of the movie. You can view his post in the forums here.
Just wanted to send a quick message to announce that "Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds: Clone Campaigns" has gone gold and should be in stores the week of May 13th, just before "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones" hits the big screen. Hope you all enjoy this expansion pack as much as we enjoyed making it.
